Part 1 of 3: Learning the Basics of the Game
Step 1. Follow the tutorial
GTA V will immediately take you into the heat of the moment when a new game starts. Unlocking the Weapon Collection Wheel:
Press and hold "L1" (on Playstation), "LB" (on Xbox), or "Tab" (computer) to open a wheel containing a collection of weapons. Use the analog stick or left mouse to select a weapon. Select the boxing icon if you don't want to carry a gun.

Aiming weapon:

Step 4. Take advantage of the mini map
You can see a mini map in the lower left corner. The blue sign indicates where you need to go. When driving, there are lines on the mini-map indicating the route to follow.
Step 5. Change the character
One of the most unique additional features in GTA V is changing characters (Character Switch). With this feature, you can switch from one character to another directly. Since GTA V has 3 protagonists (Franklin, Trevor, and Michael), this feature makes a lot of sense. Step 7. Follow the on-screen instructions
GTA V is a huge open world with lots of activities and side missions. When starting a new activity or mission, pay attention to the instructions in the upper left corner to find out what to do.
Step 8. Learn each character
The three protagonists in GTA V have unique personalities. In addition, they also have different abilities that can be used in different cases. Press both analog sticks at the same time, or the CAPS button on the computer to activate the character's special abilities.
- Michael is good at using weapons. Her special ability is to activate the "bullet time" effect, which makes everything around her move slowly, but you can still shoot fast.
- Franklin is very adept at driving a vehicle. His special abilities are almost similar to Michael's (slows down movement), but only when driving. This makes Franklin the best racer in the game.

Step 9. Change the appearance of the character

Step 10. Study the roads on the map
Los Santos is a very large place. This area is even wider than the mix between GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption! So it's very important to study the map so that you can survive in the game.

Step 11. Drive safely
Now GTA V has increased penalties for riders who get others killed, or destroy objects. This means, a small mistake like running over a pedestrian will get you chased by the police! Your wanted level will instantly become one star so you have to be careful.
You also have to act carefully even if you are not in a vehicle. If you act inappropriately, pedestrians will immediately report you to the police. This also applies if you act stupid in front of the police
Part 2 of 3: Living the Mission
Step 1. Learn from the first mission
The first two missions are tutorials. In the first mission, you will run Michael and Trevor, while the second mission with Franklin. After both missions have been successfully completed, you are now free to roam Los Santos and carry out missions as you wish.
Step 2. Go to the mission on the map
Missions on the map are marked with the initials of the mission giver. Open the map, then select a letter to bring up directions on the mini-map to where the mission starts.
