Steam is a gaming platform where players buy, download, and play computer games. If you're having trouble with an account or game you purchased, contact Steam Support and submit a ticket to describe the problem, or restore your Steam account if you can't access it. A ticket is a message containing a complaint sent to Steam Support. Steam Support staff will reply to tickets via email to answer questions and resolve issues.

Method 1 of 2: Sending Tickets
Step 1. Log in to your Steam account at
If you have other issues unrelated to account recovery, go to the main Steam Support page. To log into your Steam account, click the "Sign in to Steam" button.

Step 2. Enter the Steam username and password
Enter the username and password in the "Steam account name" and "Password" fields, respectively. If you installed Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator on your phone to secure your account, enter the Steam Guard code if prompted.
Usually the Steam Guard code will appear automatically in the phone's notification menu. If it doesn't appear, open the Steam app on your phone and tap the button at the top left of the screen. Select the Steam Guard option and enter the code shown on the screen. Note that Steam Guard codes will update over time, so enter Steam Guard quickly
Step 3. Select the desired help category
After logging into your account, you'll see help categories and some of the games you've played recently. Some categories offer options that allow you to contact Steam Support. Select the desired category according to the problem at hand.
Before contacting Steam Support, it's a good idea to look at the articles available there that might be able to answer the problem
Step 4. Select a subcategory
After selecting a category, several subcategories will appear on the screen. This subcategory offers help for more specific issues. For example, if you can't use the Steam Cloud feature, select a category Steam Client and select a subcategory Steam Cloud.
Some subcategories have FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) and articles that can help you find solutions
Step 5. Click the "Contact Steam Support" button
Clicking on it will open a ticket which is a text field used to describe the problem.
- Note that not all categories and subcategories provide the option to contact Steam Support. If this service is not available for the problem you are facing, you can read the provided article to find a solution.
- If you can't find a suitable solution in the Steam Support article, you can ask the Steam community at https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/. Steam users might be able to help you with the problem.
Step 6. Describe the problem in detail in the text field
After clicking the "Contact Steam Support" button, a page with a text field will appear on the screen. You can use this column to describe the problem you are experiencing. You can include various information that can help Steam Support staff help you, such as computer specifications, operating system (operating system) used, and others.
- You can attach a file if you can explain the problem in more detail. Click the " Browse for a file " link at the bottom of the text field to browse and upload the file as an attachment. You can also drag and drop files into the column that says "drag and drop files here".
- Steam Support recommends that you read the articles and FAQs before sending them tickets. Usually this FAQ contains a lot of information, so you might find a solution there.
Step 7. Click the “Send” button when you are done describing the problem
When you are done writing, submit the ticket by clicking the “Send” button at the bottom of the screen. Steam Support staff will reply to tickets via email within a few business days.

Step 5. Select the third option if the Steam Guard code is not sent to the phone
If you do not receive the Steam Guard code required to log in to your account, click the option " I'm not receiving a Steam Guard code." After that, you'll need to verify and update your email address.
Steam Support recommends that you add Steam Support's official email address to your contact list so that emails sent by them can reach your mailbox
Step 6. Select the fourth option if you cannot access Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator
Click the “I deleted or lost my Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator” option if you experience this. You will be asked to enter your email address or phone number before you can proceed.
