This wikiHow teaches you how to get and apply the maximum enchantment level for any magic class in the Minecraft game. Once you've determined your desired magic and level, you can create the magic in book form and add it to the desired objects in all versions of Minecraft, including the computer, console, and Pocket Edition editions.
Step
Step 1. Find out the maximum level of your magic
The maximum level at which you can raise magic will vary depending on the magic itself:
- Aqua Affinity - Level I
- Bane of Arthropods - V level
- Blast Protection - Level IV
- Curse of Binding (only for consoles and computers) - Level I
- Curse of Vanishing (only for consoles and computers) - Level I
- Depth Strider - Level III
- Efficiency - V level

- Loot - Level III
- Lucky of the Sea - Level III
- Lure - Level III
- Better - Level I
- Power - V level
- Projectile Protection - Level IV
- Protection - Level IV
- Punch - Level II
- Respiration - Level III
- Sharpness - V level
- Silk Touch - Level I
- Smite - V level
- Sweeping Edge (only for computer) - Level III
- Thorns - Level III
- Unbreak - Level III
Step 2. Gather the necessary materials
You will need to collect the following materials:
- Book - 3 sheets of paper and 1 piece of leather will make 1 book, but you need a minimum of 46 books to make a bookshelf and magic table.
- Magic table (enchanting table) - 3 obsidian blocks, 1 book and 2 diamonds.
- Bookshelf - 6 wooden planks and 3 books for each bookshelf. You need 15 bookshelves.
- Anvil - 3 iron blocks (made from 9 iron ingots for each block) and 4 iron ingots.
- Lapislazuli - The crafting material needed to bewitch something can be obtained by destroying blocks that have dark blue spots in the ground.
Step 3. Make a magic table
Open the crafting table, then place 1 obsidian block into each box in the bottom row, place 1 obsidian block in the middle square, place diamonds on the right and left sides of obsidian in the middle square, and place a book in the top box.. Once the magic table icon appears, press Shift while clicking the icon to move it into your inventory.
- In Minecraft PE, you can move a magic table to your inventory by simply tapping on its icon once the table is created.
- In the console edition, select the crafting table icon in the " Structures " tab, then scroll down to the icon Enchantment Table (magic table) and press the button X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox).
Step 4. Place the bookshelf around the magic table
Each bookshelf must be located exactly 2 blocks from the magic table, and there must be nothing blocking the bookshelf's access to the table (including snow, flowers, etc.).
- You can make a bookshelf by placing 1 plank of wood in each of the boxes in the top and bottom rows of the crafting table, then filling the squares in the middle row with books.
- There should be a block of free space between the bookshelf ring and the magic table.
Step 5. Make an anvil
Place the 3 iron blocks in the top row of the crafting table, place 1 in the middle row, then add the remaining 3 iron in the bottom row of the crafting table.
In the console edition, select the crafting table icon in the " Structures " tab, then scroll down to the icon Anvil (paron) and press X or A.
Step 6. Make sure your experience is at level 30
To unlock the best magic, your character must be at level 30 or above. You can level up by killing mobs (monsters in Minecraft) and doing other things in the game (like chopping wood).
Don't be afraid you'll have a hard time getting past level 30-you need experience points to conjure objects. It's easier for you to go from level 27 to 30 than it is to go from level 30 to 33
Part 1 of 3: Bewitching Books
Step 1. Open the magic table
You can do this by selecting the table.
Step 2. Place one book on the magic table
Choose a regular book, then select a book-shaped box on the crafting table.
Step 3. Place the lapis lazuli on the table
Select lapislazuli, then select the box to the right of the book box. You need a minimum of 3 lapislazuli to do one magic.
Step 4. Choose a magic one
On the right side of the crafting table interface, there is a list containing several magics. Select the desired magic. If the desired magic is not present, select the lowest level.
Step 5. Move the enchanted book into your inventory
Now the book will be purple and pink, indicating that the book has been bewitched.
Step 6. Repeat if necessary
The first time you do this, you're likely not going to find the magic you want. So keep on conjuring books until you find the magic you want.
- It's a good idea to make low-level magic when the magic table offers 3 magic options that you don't want.
- After creating the magic book, return your character to level 30.
Part 2 of 3: Making High-Level Magic
Step 1. Understand how to combine magic
If you have two magic books with the exact same type and level of magic, you can combine them in the anvil to create a higher level magic.
- Combining two tier I magic yields tier II magic (if applicable).
- Combining two tier II magic results in tier III magic (if applicable).
- Combining two tier III magic yields tier IV magic (if applicable).
- Combining two tier IV magic yields tier V magic (if applicable).
Step 2. Make sure you have two magics of the same type
For example, if you have two "Power III" spells, you can combine them to make "Power IV" magic.
You cannot combine magic of different levels (eg " Power I " with " Power II ")
Step 3. Open the anvil by selecting it
Step 4. Place two magic books on the anvil
Select the first book and select the box on the left side of the anvil, then select the second book and select another box on the left side of the anvil. A new book will appear on the right side of the anvil window.
Step 5. Move the resulting book into inventory
Select the book, then select inventory.
- In Minecraft PE, move books to your inventory by tapping on them.
- On the console, select the book and press the button triangle or Y.
Step 6. Make another magic book
If the combined book you created has not reached the highest level for the selected attachment, create another book on the magic table. Next, merge the book with the merged book that you created earlier.
Repeat this process until you get the highest level magic book
Part 3 of 3: Putting Magic on Things
Step 1. Open the anvil
Once you have the magic you want, you can add it to the object you use for attack or defense (such as a sword or armor).
Step 2. Place the object you want to bewitch on to the anvil
The object will go into the box on the far left.
Step 3. Add the magic book
Select the book, then select the center box in the anvil window.
Step 4. Move the enchanted item into the inventory
Now it will appear on the right side of the anvil. Select the item and move it into the inventory to complete the process.
Tips
- Magic can also be purchased from the villagers although you usually have to buy it with lots of emeralds.
- This can ONLY be applied in Creative mode.
