A wooden fence can be made with four planks and two sticks, but they must all be of the same type of wood. You can only create a Nether Brick fence using Nether Brick, which can be obtained in the Nether. You can also find naturally formed fences in various places.

Method 1 of 3: Making a Wooden Fence
Step 1. Make at least 6 wooden planks
To make a fence, you must use 6 planks of the same wood. Different types of wood will produce fences of different colors. You can get 4 planks of wood by placing a block of wood in the center of the grid on the crafting table.
Four boards are used as fences and two boards for sticks
Step 2. Make two sticks of the same wood
Use the two boards you made out of wooden blocks to make sticks. You can turn two boards into four sticks by placing one in the center of the crafting grid and one directly below it.
Step 3. Make the fence pieces
Place one stick in the center of the crafting grid and the other stick just below it. Place the boards on both sides of the sticks so that the bottom of the row will be: planks, sticks, planks.
All pieces must be from the same type of wood
Step 4. Put the fence pieces into inventory
This craft recipe for making 4 planks and 2 sticks will make 3 pieces of fence.
Method 2 of 3: Making a Nether Brick Fence
Step 1. Make a pickaxe from any material
You need a pickaxe to mine the Nether Brick. The Nether is a dangerous place. Therefore, it's a good idea to bring a strong pickaxe so you can mine quickly. Try to bring an iron pickaxe or better.
You can make an iron pickaxe by placing one stick in the center of the crafting grid and adding another stick just below it. In the top row, place an iron bar in each of the boxes
Step 2. Walk to the Nether
Nether Brick Fences can be made using Nether Brick. This material can only be found in the Nether, which must be reached through the Nether Portal. Check out how to Create a Nether Portal in Minecraft for instructions on how to create a portal to the Nether.
The Nether is a tough area so you should bring good equipment. Make sure you have brought plenty of healing potions. Check out how to Make Potions in Minecraft for a guide on how to make healing potions
Step 3. Look for the Nether Fortress
The structure of the building is clearly recognizable when you walk towards the Nether. This fort usually looks like a bridge raised above the ground. The best location to find it is by walking west or east. If you walk south or north, you won't find them even if you've walked thousands of blocks.
The Nether Fortress was the residence of Blaze and Wither Skeleton. Both can drop valuable materials that can be used to create other craft projects
Step 4. Mine the Nether Brick
The main component of the Nether Fortress structure is the Nether Brick. Mine Nether Brick with a pickaxe. You'll need a minimum of 6 pieces of Nether Brick to make one fence, although you can mine more for larger projects.
You can get 6 Nether Brick fences for every 6 Nether Brick blocks you use. Basically, this means one block will make one fence. However, you'll need a multiple of six blocks to use this recipe
Step 5. Go back to the crafting table and make the fence pieces
If you have at least 6 Nether Brick blocks, you can start building a Nether Brick fence. Fill the bottom two rows of the crafting table grid with Nether Brick blocks.
Step 6. Put the fence pieces you made into your inventory
For every six Nether Brick blocks you put into the crafting grid, you will earn 6 pieces of Nether Brick fence.
Method 3 of 3: Finding the Fence
Step 1. Bring the tools
You can use any tool (including with your bare hands) to disassemble and get to pieces of the fence. The process will be faster if you use a tool such as an ax or pickaxe.
When looking for a Nether Brick fence, you'll need to use a pickaxe to drop pieces of the fence
Step 2. Look for the wooden fence in the abandoned mine tunnel
Wooden fences can often be found in abandoned mine tunnels. The fence is used as a support for the tunnel. You can usually find them in bulk when you come across a mining tunnel.
Step 3. Steal the wooden fence in the village
Fences can also be found around the village, including on the roofs of houses. Don't worry, the villagers won't be angry when you dismantle the fence and pick it up.
Step 4. Find the fence by exploring the fort
The underground library space inside the fort may contain railings used as railings and candlesticks (candlesticks). Each fort usually has two library rooms.
Step 5. Head to the witch's hut in the swamp to loot her fence
Witches usually put up fences at the entrances and windows of their huts.
Step 6. Mine the Nether Brick fence in the Nether Fortress
Besides being able to be used as a place to look for Nether Brick (to be used as a Nether Brick fence), the Nether Fortress also provides a fence that you can dismantle. You must use a pickaxe to dismantle the fence. Otherwise, the piece of fence cannot be dropped.
Tips
- The fence pieces will automatically attach to most blocks when you place them near a block. The fence can also be used as a post if you place it alone.
- Fence pieces are items that are one and a half blocks high so that monsters and animals (except spiders) cannot jump over them.
- You can attach a lead to the fence to keep the mob in one area.
