Just playing Minecraft PE for the first time and don't know what to do first in your new world? The first thing you have to do is build a house to protect you from mobs, to sleep and to assemble more things. You can build a basic house for the first few nights, but if you want a cool house, read this wikiHow for ideas and tips. Get started with Step 1 below.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Gathering Basic Materials
Step 1. Gather wood and wooden planks
Wood is harvested from trees, and planks can be made from wood using assembled tables. Wood is an excellent raw material, as it is cheap and easy to find in a wide variety of biomes.
Step 2. Get a stone or cobblestone
Stone is a common block, mostly found underground and on top of mountains. If you mine with a pickaxe, you can get cobblestone that looks a little different.
You can even make a basestone generator (using glass, lava, and water), if you don't like mining for rocks or cobblestone
Step 3. Get the quartz
Quartz comes from building the Nether Reactor in Minecraft PE. This makes blocks expensive in Survival Mode, but it's the best way to go if you want to add a bit of white to your buildings.
Step 4. Collect some sand
Sand is a common natural block, usually found near water or in desert biomes. This is an easy way to add beige to a color scheme, and inexpensive if you don't want to spend a lot of time.
Step 5. Get coal
Coal is a material you have to mine, but it's easy to find. This is the easiest way to bring black into a color scheme. Remember that you have to smell the coal from the ore, and the real blocks look a lot like spotted cobblestone. Do not forget!
Method 2 of 4: Housing Ideas
Step 1. Build a basic house
You can build a basic house that resembles a real-life house or an ordinary house. Use the ladder to make the roof. Avoid pure square shapes to make the house really nice.
Step 2. Build a castle
With cobblestone or ordinary stone, build a castle complete with a prison. You can even use Green wool to make a giant dragon to kill! Look at pictures of medieval castles to get an idea of the layout you want.
Fences are useful for making towers at the top of the tower
Step 3. Build an underwater house
With a few tricks, you can create an underwater house in Minecraft PE. Just build the walls up to the water's surface, fill the inside with dust, seal the house, then wipe the dust off.
Step 4. Build an ultra modern house
Hone your creativity and build a super modern house. You can use clean grid lines and glass panel walls to make the house look really cool. The house will look amazing if it is built on a cliff.
Step 5. Build the Bat Cave
Use Minecraft to build your own Bat Cave. You can even include a waterfall as an entrance. You can also build a Batmobile.
Building a house above a cave is more fun. Use Redstone or other clever tricks (command blocks, or game hacks) to create objects like elevators that take you to caves
Step 6. Build a tree house
Create a giant tree and then build a house around the trunk and branches, or one that fits perfectly inside the trunk. You can even create entire villages and use them to hang out with your friends.
Step 7. Build a Roman palace
Use quartz blocks and columns to create cool Roman castles. You can even build a temple for yourself! Don't forget the front pool and street with Cypress trees lined up to complement it!
Step 8. Build Hogwarts
This is not only a huge building project, but everyone will want to have Hogwarts for adventure. Build classrooms, Great Halls, dormitory houses, greenhouses, libraries and other parts of the palace. Don't forget the lake front and Quidditch pitches!
Step 9. Build an apartment complex
Build skyscrapers and fill them with apartments. You can use mods to add command blocks and use command blocks to build an elevator that takes you to the apartment. Of course you don't have to fill every apartment. Maybe a little for your friends… but create a complete penthouse just for yourself!
Step 10. Build a pirate ship
Build your own pirate ship and stay on board! Remember that the bigger you build the boat, the more attention you will have to detail. But be careful not to get sick!
Glass panels would make a great sail for a pirate ship
Method 3 of 4: Build Easily
Step 1. Use color blocks to mark the foundation
Use blocks of different colors to mark different sections. For example, use blue wool to mark wall corners and red wool to mark locations for the Redstone circuit. Place this block in the first layer of soil so you can build right on top of it. This is to ensure that everything is aligned and can also help you figure out how much material you need.
Step 2. Choose cheap materials
Build houses using materials that are easy to collect. Otherwise, be prepared to invest in a long project. Make sure you play in a way that is fun for you.
Step 3. Build the exterior first
Always build the exterior walls first. This section is usually the hardest to complete, so complete it first to help keep you motivated. It's also important to keep everything aligned and looking good. The same goes for building in real life!
Building the exterior in advance also has the added benefit of building a top ceiling, meaning you can avoid rain and snow
Step 4. Make it interesting
You can build a cool house in any shape you want. All you have to do is make it less boring! Avoid blocky overall shapes (such as giant square blocks or rectangles) and also avoid walls that are too flat. Use plants on rocks, towers and wings to make the house more interesting. You should also break up the color of the outer walls and ceiling. Making the whole house in one color looks more like a blob!
Step 5. Don't neglect landscaping
Another important part of creating an attractive home is making sure that you don't neglect the landscaping. A cool house in the middle of an empty plain is bound to be boring. Make your home more attractive by adding gardens, lakes, roads, or other decorations to keep the environment looking cool.
Method 4 of 4: Finding Tools
Step 1. Use a development plan
Find a number of pre-made building plans on the internet to show you exactly how to make all kinds of unique buildings. This is great for beginners who are not familiar with the ingredients at hand.
Minecraft Building Inc is one such example
Step 2. Use the drafting tool
There are several internet sites for creating building plans to describe exactly what materials should be added. The most common site for this is MineDraft.
Step 3. Watch YouTube videos
There are tons of YouTube videos showing you how to build cool houses and other fun structures. Take the time to explore and get ideas of what others have created.
Tips
- You can upgrade the house later when you have more materials.
- Make the house the size you need to make room and to store things. You don't want a house that's too cramped!
- Look for more things to do in Minecraft so you don't get bored. Minecraft is the best game ever when you know the secret.
- Use your imagination to make whatever you want!
- If you find a village, decorate it! Paint the streets with colored clay and decorate all the houses. Then, build your own house so that the city where you live is truly complete!
- Try not to use just one material when building a house. Use your imagination and mix different ingredients.
