This wikiHow teaches you how to add names, phone numbers, and other contact details to Android emergency information pages. Emergency contacts can be accessed by others without having to use a password. It can also help the emergency team when the situation is urgent. This guide is intended for devices with an English-language setting.

Step 1. Unlock Android lock screen
Turn on the device, then press the lock button to open the lock screen.
Step 2. Touch the EMERGENCY button
This button is usually located at the bottom or top of the lock screen.
Step 3. Touch the EMERGENCY INFORMATION button twice
It's a red button at the top of the screen. This button will open a new page containing a list of saved emergency contacts.
Step 4. Touch the icon
at the top right of the screen.
This button allows you to edit the emergency contacts of the device.
You must enter a password or pattern to edit the emergency contact of the device
Step 5. Enter your device's security password or pattern
This will verify your identity, and allow you to edit your device's emergency contacts.
Step 6. Touch the CONTINUE button on the menu that appears
This button will open the emergency contact page of the device.
Step 7. Touch the CONTACTS menu
It's in the upper-right corner of the emergency information page.
Step 8. Touch the Add contact button
This option will allow you to add emergency contacts to your device. This button will display the contact list on a new page.
By adding an emergency contact, you can help the emergency team to contact emergency contacts when you need help
Step 9. Select a new emergency contact
Find the contact you want to make emergency contact and then touch the name. By doing this, the name, phone number and information about the selected contact will be added to the emergency information page of your device.
