It doesn't matter if you're a 6th grader or a 3rd year high school student, the last days at school are exciting, emotional, and worthy times to celebrate. There are lots of fun things you can do to pass the time while waiting for school to end. Create memorabilia by signing the yearbook. Solve any pending business by requesting everyone's contact information. After school, plan a party or event with your friends to make the most of the early days of the holidays that are finally here.
Step
Method 1 of 3: Creating Memorabilia
Step 1. Circulate the yearbook for signatures
Have everyone you know sign your yearbook, including people you rarely talk to. Ask friends and colleagues to write farewell messages in the margins and do the same in their books.
If you didn't buy a yearbook but still want to get an autograph, bring an old notebook, photo album, or T-shirt and have people sign it
Step 2. Bring the object to sign
If your school doesn't print yearbooks, there are lots of things you can sign instead. Bring something that can be written on and ask everyone to add their signature before school ends.
- Sign a volleyball, basketball or soccer ball.
- Another interesting thing you can do is sign T-shirts. Collect money and buy cheap plain white T-shirts. Prepare markers for fabric, then ask everyone to sign.
- Ask the teacher for permission to sign the T-shirt during class. If it's not allowed, have people sign it at lunch or break.
Step 3. Provide a personalized object or toy
In elementary school, you can bring a small toy like a plastic sand bucket and write the names of your classmates on it. You can ask them to sign the bucket. You can also use other toys, such as a teddy bear made of scribbled fabric. If you bring lots of toys for your classmates, everyone can graduate with a memento from the school year.
Step 4. Take a photo
Document the last day at school with friends and teachers. Ask them “How would you like to be remembered in one photo?” Pay attention to their answers. You can also take discreet photos throughout the day.
Find out the school's policy on shooting. You certainly don't want to get in trouble for taking pictures during class or at certain times
Step 5. Make an album of memories
Memories albums are memos containing old photos, schoolwork, ribbons, and other high school memorabilia. Includes photos of your teacher, yourself, and classmates. If your teacher doesn't mind, spend the last time at school putting together an album of memories with your friends.
Bring stationery supplies, such as small notebooks, colored pencils and crayons, glue, and scissors to create a beautiful memory album for the school year
Method 2 of 3: Planning a Fun Event
Step 1. Attend a school sponsored event
The last day of school should be celebrated with a party, event, or game. If your school is already planning an event, come. The event in question can be:
- Smart scrutiny between teacher vs student, basketball match, dance competition, etc.
- Outing together, ice cream party, cooking together, etc.
- Watching movies on the school projector or in the auditorium.
- Create a mural together or organize an art project.
- A party for everyone whose birthday is in the month of graduation.
Step 2. Share your favorite videos of the year
While spending time with friends and family, take the opportunity to talk about important moments over the past year. You can talk about fun moments that have happened, new friends you have, people you have a crush on, and various other things.
- Ask your friends to predict themselves in the coming year. Write down your predictions and keep them in a safe place. After a year, take the predictions and see which ones are right and which ones are wrong.
- Make a list of the best and worst things that happened over the past year.
Step 3. Deliver speeches in turns
If your teacher allows, take time at the end of class to give a short speech. This is fun to do for all levels of school, from elementary, junior high, to high school. Ask your friends to volunteer to say farewells and share interesting experiences from the past year.
If you can't do it in class, do this activity at lunch or after school
Step 4. Have a chalk festival during recess or after school
After school or during recess, have everyone gather in the park or play area with chalk. You can make a wall painting together to commemorate the school year and enjoy the start of the holiday.
- Create pictures based on your experiences at school, such as pictures of friends, teachers, and memorable events.
- Include school holiday events. Ask your friends to draw activities that will be done during the holidays or events they have planned.
- Have everyone make a palm print with chalk, then write their name under it.
Step 5. Cook holiday-themed meals
You can make holiday specialties, such as chicken opor or rendang, and make other creations. Make a giant cake and use assorted fruit in addition to form a beach ball pattern. Make cakes in the shape of umbrellas, fish, and other beach-related objects.
- If you can, you can share the food at school. You can also get together with friends after school to share them.
- Make sure you know anyone who has food allergies or is sensitive to certain food ingredients.
- If you don't want to cook, go eat ice cream after school.
Step 6. Play games outside of class
Ask the teacher for permission to play outside. Have a water balloon popping contest, a sack race, stick a nail into a bottle, or throw a plastic plate. This activity can also be included in the after-school party.
If you want to play in the water, bring a swimsuit or old clothes
Method 3 of 3: Solving All Business
Step 1. Ask your friends to exchange contact information
Make sure you know how to contact all your friends after graduation. This is important, especially if you are going to college or work after graduation. Enter phone number information into your cell phone, or make room in your yearbook to write down the email addresses of your friends.
- Find out who your friends are moving in next year.
- Social media is a good tool to keep in touch. If you haven't made friends with your classmates on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, make friends now.
Step 2. Say goodbye to friends who are moving
If a friend isn't coming back next year, say goodbye. You can ask the whole class to sign a card which is then given to the person who is moving. You can also say goodbye in turns during breaks or lunch.
Step 3. Thank your teachers
If you have a favorite teacher who is helping you through the school year well, say thank you before graduating. You can write a thank you note on a card or speak in person. The teachers have worked very hard, so they deserve the gratitude of the students.
