Corona is Pale Lager made by Cerveceria Modelo in Mexico. It is one of the best-selling beers worldwide and is available in more than 150 countries. Many places serve Corona beer with traditional lime or lemon wedges. However, there are many ways to prepare and drink Corona beer. You can drink Corona alone or make a mixed drink by adding various ingredients to enhance the natural flavor of the beer.

Method 1 of 2: Drinking Traditional Corona
Step 1. Chill Corona
You can store beer in the freezer, refrigerator, or cooler. Depending on the method and the starting temperature of the beer, the cooling time of the beer can be anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours. So, consider when you will be drinking beer in determining the method to use.
- Try not to keep the beer in the freezer for more than 30 minutes as it may explode.
- Beer can cool faster using a cooler with ice water because it transfers heat more quickly. Keep the ice in the refrigerator for an hour or so. When the ice has melted a little, put the Corona beer in the cooler.
Step 2. Take the Corona bottle when it has cooled down and brush it with salt and lime
Use a bottle opener because all Corona bottles must be opened with this tool. Sprinkle the rim of the bottle with sea salt or a salt-based seasoning of your choice. Place the lime wedge in the beer bottle opening and squeeze the juice into the beer. Press the lime wedges into the bottle to add more flavor to the beer.
If you want to mix the drink even further, try placing your thumb on the beer bottle and gently tipping it a few times. Be careful, overturning the beer will cause the beer to carbonize and explode
Step 3. Drink and enjoy your Corona
However, don't forget to drink wisely.
Method 2 of 2: Drinking Corona Mix
Step 1. Chill Corona
Use the first step in Method 1 to cool the beer quickly. Corona has to be cold so you can make mixed drinks.
Step 2. Create your creative mix Corona
Place any or all of the following ingredients into a mixer or cup filled with half the Corona: lemon, Tabasco sauce, hot tomato sauce, salt, and/or pepper. These ingredients are commonly mixed into Corona, in addition to salt and lime. These ingredients will enhance the taste of Corona and can be a fun experiment.
- If you decide to only use 1-2 ingredients, mix them directly into the Corona and don't use a mixer.
- Make sure you like the taste of each ingredient used. You can try it by mixing each ingredient with a small glass of Corona.
- Put the ice cubes in a mixer or cup containing the ingredients if the Corona gets warm during the process.
Step 3. Create a Red Corona
Combine 1 shot (gulp) of vodka, 1 teaspoon grenadine syrup, and 1 lime wedge into a 7/8 full Corona bottle.
- Don't forget to close the Corona bottle with your thumb and gently turn it over a few times to mix the drinks. Be careful that beer being tipped over too quickly will carbonize and explode.
- Mix the ingredients in a mixer if it's hard to put in a beer bottle.
Step 4. Make the Mexican Bulldog Margarita
Combine 30 ml of tequila, 0, 2-0, 3 ml of margarita mix, and 8-10 ice cubes in a blender. Mix the ingredients until smooth. Pour the mixture into a 0.5 liter (or larger) drinking glass and place an overturned beer bottle on top.
Make sure the rim of the glass is wide enough to support the Corona bottle without falling. If you only have a small glass, try using a Coronita (small Corona)
Step 5. Drink Corona mixture
Whatever the ingredients are mixed in, the taste will be delicious. Don't forget to add lime wedges and salt.
Tips
- To keep your beer cold when you drink it, buy a beer cooler with a bottle opener holder inside. This box will keep the beer cold for a long time.
- All of these recipes refer to "bottled" Coronas, but you can also use Coronas if that's all you have available. However, bottled Coronas are easier to mix.
- When mixing Corona beer, make sure it is cold. Drinking warm beer can cause nausea and indigestion. You also can't fully enjoy the taste of beer.
- We recommend using Corona Extra instead of Corona Light.

- Don't leave beer in the freezer for more than 30 minutes. Exploded beer will be difficult to clean.
- Corona is an alcoholic drink so drink wisely.
