Step
Method 1 of 3: Saute Zukini
Step 1. Finely chop the garlic
Use a cutting board and knife.
Step 2. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet
Cook over medium heat. Add garlic and a sprinkling of dry red chilies. Cook for 30 seconds, stirring occasionally. Remove the garlic (not mandatory).
Step 3. Add the zucchini pieces to the pan
Stir the zucchini with a wooden spoon until each piece is covered in oil.
Step 4. Cook until all the zucchini is browned, then flip and cook for a few minutes
Remove the skillet from the stove and season with salt and pepper.
Step 5. Transfer to a plate and serve immediately
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese if you like.
Method 2 of 3: Healthy Fried Zucchini
Step 1. Preheat the grill to 220 degrees Celsius
Step 2. Cut the zucchini lengthwise
It is about 8 cm long and 1.5 cm wide, like french fries.
Step 3. Beat egg whites and milk in a small bowl
In a separate bowl, mix cheese and breadcrumbs.
Step 4. Grease a baking sheet with oil
In addition to oil, you can also use aluminum foil to coat the grill so it doesn't stick.
Step 5. Dip the zucchini into the egg white mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture
Place the zucchini in the pan.
Step 6. Bake about 20-25 minutes
Fried zucchini will be golden brown when cooked.
Step 7. Remove from grill and enjoy
Method 3 of 3: Zukini Bread
Step 1. Preheat the grill to 160 degrees Celsius
Prepare 2 loaf pans measuring 7 x 22 cm. Grease the surface of the pan with oil and then sprinkle with flour.
Step 2. Grate the zucchini with a cheese grater
The skin of the zucchini does not need to be peeled.
Step 3. Mix flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon in a large bowl
Step 4. Combine eggs, oil, vanilla and sugar in a separate bowl
Step 5. Put the egg mixture into the flour that has been mixed earlier
Step 6. Add the zucchini and peanuts while stirring well
Pour the batter into the pan.
Step 7. Bake for 40-60 minutes
Stick a fork into the bread to determine its doneness. Bread is called cooked if no dough sticks to the fork.
Step 8. Remove from grill
Cool about 20 minutes, then remove from pan.
Step 9. Serve and enjoy
Tips
- Because the skin of the zucchini is soft, it doesn't need to be peeled before cooking.
- Try a variety of herbs, spices, and sauces when cooking zucchini stir-fry.
- Zucchini can be served as a side dish. Just add it to salads or to pasta as a main dish.
- When choosing zucchini at the grocery store or market, look for ones that are bright green and no more than 25–30 cm long.
