Method 1 of 4: Cup Fan

Step 1. Fold the napkin in half to form a long rectangle

Step 2. Fold the napkin to form an accordion all the way from one end of the napkin to the other

Step 3. Holding one of the folded ends, place it in your drinking glass
Allow the napkin to form a fan at the top of the glass.
Method 2 of 4: Pyramid

Step 1. Spread the napkin in front of you
If your napkin is made of a limp material, ironing it with a little starch can help with this process.

Step 2. Fold the napkin diagonally
Turn the folded napkin so that the top of the napkin is facing directly in front of you.

Step 3. Fold the bottom right corner so that it meets the top of the napkin
Make sure this crease creates a clear center line in the center of the napkin.

Step 4. Fold the left corner of the napkin down to meet the top of the napkin, following the previous step
The napkin should look like a diamond shape.

Step 5. Turn the napkin over, making the napkin open with its back facing you

Step 6. Fold the farthest point of this diamond shape back to the other end, making a triangle shape

Step 1. Spread the napkin in front of you

Step 2. Fold the napkin in half by pulling the top edge down
Now you have a rectangular napkin.

Step 3. Pull the top right corner down to the bottom center of the napkin

Step 4. Pull the bottom left corner of the napkin up to the top center of the napkin
Now your napkin should be in the shape of a parallelogram.

Step 5. Turn the napkin over and rearrange it so that the top left and bottom right edges are sticking out

Step 6. Fold the bottom half of the napkin up to the top half
The edges of the napkin should meet each other, except for a triangle remaining at the bottom left corner of the napkin.

Step 7. Gently remove the right wing so that it forms another triangle at the bottom right

Step 8. Pull up the top left corner and tuck it under the triangle on the right
Now the left triangle is folded in half.

Step 9. Flip the triangle over so that now both the tips are facing up

The napkin should be completely symmetrical again.
