Step
Method 1 of 3: Fast Food Pizza
Step 1. Preheat oven to 204°C
The oven should be very hot before you start baking the pizza.
Step 2. Prepare the finished bread or pizza crust
Remove these raw pizza crusts from their packaging and place them on a round or rectangular baking sheet, whichever you have. Use a pastry brush to apply a thin layer of olive oil over the pizza crust.
Step 3. Spread the pizza sauce over the skin
How much pizza sauce you add depends on your taste. If you like a lot of sauce, pour in a lot and then smooth it out. If you prefer dry pizza, take a small amount with a spoon, place it in the center and spread it evenly around the edges.
- If you want to make white pizza, add more extra olive oil without needing to use pizza sauce.
- You can make pizza sauce quickly using tomato paste, a can of diced tomatoes, and some seasonings. Heat the tomato paste and canned tomatoes together over low heat. Add salt, oregano and pepper to taste. Continue heating the sauce until it is thick or has a pizza-like consistency.
Step 4. Add toppings
Sprinkle a layer of your favorite or desired topping on top of the sauce layer on top of the pizza crust. Add as much or as little topping as you like. Place heavy toppings, such as onions, chicken or sausage, on the bottom layer, and add light toppings, such as spinach leaves or bell peppers, on top. Continue until your pizza is filled with the toppings you like.
- In addition to the pre-cooked pepperoni sausage, the meat topping should also be cooked before you arrange it on the pizza. This topping will re-cook when you bake the pizza, but it won't be fully cooked, so it's important to cook it beforehand. If you're using beef, sausage, chicken, or other meat, cook it until it's cooked or browned on the stove and drain the oil before you add it to the pizza.
- Remember that if you add too many vegetable toppings, your pizza crust may turn out to be a little soggy. The water from the vegetables will wet the dough. Limit the amount of spinach and other "juicy" vegetables on your pizza if you're concerned about this happening.
Step 5. Add cheese
Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top of the topping. Make a thick layer of cheese if you like, or a thin layer if you want a light pizza.
Step 6. Bake the pizza
Bake the pizza in the oven for about 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting.
Method 2 of 3: Making Pizza from Scratch
Step 1. Activate the yeast
Put warm water in a large bowl. Pour the yeast into the water and allow it to dissolve. After a few minutes, the yeast solution should start to foam.
Step 2. Add other dough ingredients
Place the flour, olive oil, sugar, and salt in a bowl containing the yeast solution. Use the spoon that comes with the mixer or your hands to stir the ingredients until a wet dough forms. Continue kneading the dough until the dough is soft and pliable.
- If you're using your hands, the dough will be difficult to mix as it starts to thicken. Place a mixing spoon and knead the dough until it reaches the right texture.
- If the dough looks wet after you have mixed or kneaded it for a long time, add a little flour to top it off.
Step 3. Let the dough rise
Roll out the dough and place in a clean large bowl or container that has been lightly greased with olive oil. Cover the bowl with a clean rag or wrap it in plastic, and place the bowl in a warm place in your kitchen for the yeast to work properly. Let the dough rise until it doubles in size, which usually takes about 2 hours.
- Or you can let the dough rise in the refrigerator. This will take about 6 - 8 hours.
- You can also freeze the pizza dough before it rises, and only let it rise when you are ready to make the pizza.
Step 4. Preheat the oven to 218°C
Do this before you are ready to bake the pizza, so that the oven has plenty of time to reach the desired temperature. If your oven tends to cool down, increase the temperature to 232°C.
- If you are using a plate or dish to bake pizza (called a baking stone, which is made of stone or ceramic), also place this plate in the oven so that it heats up too.
- If you're using a baking sheet, put it in the oven now.
Step 5. Form the pizza crust dough
Divide the dough into two equal parts and shape each into a ball. On your floured kitchen counter, flatten the first dough ball with a cookie cutter into a circle, or use your fingers to stretch the dough out and shape it. If you think you have this skill, you can also try tossing and turning the pizza dough until it's circular and fairly thin. When you are done with the first dough, work the second dough.
Step 6. Prepare the pizza crust for baking
Use a bread brush to apply olive oil over the finished pizza crust.
Step 7. Make the pizza toppings
Spread and spread the homemade pizza sauce (or bottled sauce) onto the pizza crust. Add your favorite pizza topping, making sure not to make it too wide or the outside and the crust won't be crispy. Finish by sprinkling your favorite type of cheese.
Step 8. Bake the pizzas one by one
Carefully remove the pan or baking stone from the oven and dust it with a little cornstarch (or if not removed, reach into the oven and sprinkle flour onto the baking sheet inside). Transfer the pizza to a preheated baking sheet or baking stone, and place it back in the oven. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until pizza crust is golden and cheese is bubbly. Repeat with the second pizza.
If you are using a special tool such as a long, flat-tipped shovel to place and pick up the pizza, transfer the pizza directly from this shovel to a baking stone slab in the oven. This baking shovel is commonly used by professional pizza makers along with baking stones. The pizzas are stacked on a shovel and then transferred to a baking stone slab in the oven
Method 3 of 3: Popular Topping Combinations
Step 1. Classic pizza
The classic type of pizza has the traditional pizza tomato sauce and lots of meat, vegetables and cheese. Each slice of this pizza itself can be considered a meal because it is quite heavy and filling. To make this type of pizza, you will need the following ingredients:
- Any kind of Mushroom Slice
- Sliced red and green peppers
- Onion Slices
- Black olive slices
- Pepperoni Slices
- Sausage pieces
- Ham
- Mozzarella Cheese
Step 2. Vegetarian white pizza
This elegant pizza is delicious for everyone, whether you are a meat eater or not. Since vegetables tend to make the pizza crust moist, skip the tomato sauce and apply more extra olive oil before adding the toppings. Choose a topping from these ingredients::
- Spinach leaf
- Sliced kale leaves (a type of green cabbage)
- Beet slices
- Roasted Garlic
- Green Olives
- Goat Cheese
- Fresh mozzarella cheese slices
Step 3. Hawaiian pizza
This type of pizza is loved by some and hated by others because of its weird but interesting ingredient list. If you're a fan of sweet and salty toppings, Hawaiian pizza is unbeatable. Prepare these ingredients:
- Pineapple slices
- Caramelized Onion
- Grilled ham slices or Canadian-style bacon slices
- Mozzarella Cheese
Step 4. Fresh tomato and basil pizza
This summery combination of pizza toppings is a great choice if you're looking for something simple. Make this pizza with or without tomato sauce. Here are the ingredients you will need:
- Fresh tomato slices
- Basil leaves
Tips
- If the edges of the pizza crust and top are charred or burnt before the inside is cooked enough, the oven temperature is too high. Thick pizza requires a lower temperature so it can be cooked long enough to cook the inside, without burning the outside. You can eventually increase the oven temperature or even bake the pizza for a bit (over high heat) so that the top is browned, watching it don't burn.
- Before you pop the pizza in the oven, lightly spray the pan with olive oil for a crispier finish. This oil will also prevent the pizza from sticking to the pan.
- If you sprinkle the cheese all the way out of the ketchup layer, leaving a small gap in the ketchup layer, then this layer of cheese won't come off all at once when you bite or pull. This is because the cheese can stick to the pizza crust more.
- Try the Mascarpone cheese in tomato sauce.
- For a crispier pizza top, grill or broil the top of your pizza using a fire/heat source on the top (broil). Remember, be careful not to burn! Keep it in the broiler (a grill with the heat source only at the top, a process called broil) for about two minutes. This will give a nice golden color to the top of the pizza.

- You can use spaghetti sauce instead of tomato sauce.
Warning
- If you are a child, be sure to ask an adult or parent to remove the pizza from the oven. And if you're going to take it out yourself, be careful not to injure the skin.
- Avoid setting the temperature inside the oven too high, if you don't want to start a fire.
- Use a towel, rag, or glove to pick up the pizza and avoid burning the skin.
- Pepperoni is a large sausage like salami, usually made of pork and/or beef, thin and wide round slices of pepperoni. If you don't eat pork, adjust accordingly.
