Baccarat is a fun card game full of suspense and intrigue! How to play is also easy to learn. The end result consists of three possibilities: Player wins, Banker wins, or draw. However, keep in mind that in Baccarat, the “Banker” is not the dealer. In this game, participants can choose the Player or Banker position.
Step
Step 1. Learn the betting positions
You can bet on the Banker, Player or even both positions. Bets must be placed before cards are dealt to Player or Banker.
Step 2. Learn how to deal cards
One participant / dealer is in charge of the deck and is in charge of distributing cards. Cards are dealt at the table openly, first to the Player's box, then to the Banker. For the first time, each participant gets two cards.
Step 3. Announce the card point totals for both positions
The points of 10 and picture cards = 0, Ace = 1, and all other cards have points according to their respective numbers. If the total points are more than 10, the 2nd digit is used. For example, cards 9 and 6 if you add up the result is 15. That means the total points are 5. To win this game, you must bet on the position where the total points are closest to 9.
Step 4. Understand the meaning of “pure
A pure win occurs when the total points of the first two cards are 8 or 9, either in the Player's or Banker's box. By the time this happens, the game is over. All bets that have been placed will be counted and paid.
Step 5. The distribution of the third card is determined by the total points of the card
The player gets the first turn. Players with a total of 8 or 9 points do not get additional cards. Total points 6-7 do not have to ask for additional cards. Total points 0-5, the third card is dealt to the Player, except for the Banker's card total of 8 or 9 (the Banker is declared the winner immediately).
Step 6. Learn the rules for dealing the third card for the Banker position
If the Player has finished / does not add cards, it is the Banker's turn to play. If the Banker's card points total 0-5, a third card is dealt. If the total points are 6-7, no third card is dealt. Other positions depend on the third card dealt to the Player:
- If the Player's third card is a 9, 10, a draw card, or an Ace, the Banker is dealt an additional card when the card's total points are 0-3. Total points 4-7 do not get additional cards.
- If the Player's third card is an 8, the Banker gets an additional card when his card points total is 0-2. Total points 3-7 do not get additional cards.
- If the Player's third card is a 6 or 7, the Banker gets an extra card when the total points are 0-6. A total of 7 points does not get an additional card.
- If the Player's third card is a 4 or 5, the Banker gets an additional card when the total points are 0-5. Total points 6-7 do not get additional cards.
- If the Player's third card is a 2 or 3, the Banker gets an extra card when the total points are 0-4. Total points 5-7 do not get additional cards.
Step 7. Once all the cards have been dealt, count and determine the winner
The winner is the one whose total card points are closest to 9. If there is a tie, there is no winner. Sometimes participants who bet on the Banker still get a commission even though they lose.
Tips
- Don't bet all the time. Pay attention to past positions. Place your bet on consecutive wins or when the Player or Banker's chances of winning are high.
- Don't bet against the side that wins in a row.
- On an 8-card deck, Player win odds: 1.06%, Banker win odds: 1.24%, and draw odds: 14, 36%.
- The odds of winning in Baccarat depend on the number of decks of cards used. The odds are as follows:
- Try calculating the value of the cards for each position and if on your instinct the next card is low value or a draw card, change your bet.
- Once the cards have been dealt, the Player and Banker's chances of winning are almost 50/50.
- On single card deck, Banker win chance: 1.29%, Player win chance: 1.01%, Draw chance: 15, 57%.
- Bankers add cards more often so that the chances of winning are somewhat greater.
- On 6 decks, Player win chance: 1.06%, Banker win chance: 1.24%, Draw chance: 14, 44%.
