Crows are very intelligent creatures, one of the most intelligent animal species. A flock of crows nicknamed "the flock" or "killers," can be a useful addition to your yard. Small flocks of crows can liberate plants from various insects and other pests, while large flocks make them a deterrent to predatory birds, such as eagles. Bringing in crows and making them come back can be done quickly, and in an environmentally friendly way.

Part 1 of 2: Bringing Crows to the Yard
Step 1. Clean your yard/yard of various objects that may be scary and make the crows go away
Crows are easily startled by any kind of sound, so things like bells, wind chimes, and even loose, squeaky gates can send them flying. What's more, the crows get scared by the light-reflecting surfaces that move in the breeze, creating flashes of light. Shape resembling a scarecrow or owl, at first can scare crows. But the bird is so smart that it won't be fooled for long.
Step 2. Install the bait
If a crow is seen in the yard, it is possible that the other crows will follow. The atmosphere will appear natural and lively, and the birds will appear to hang upside down, or possibly even dead, like Halloween decorations, which will be scary.
Step 3. Use the sound of a crow
You can buy an electronic dial or try a hand-held (whistle-shaped) dial. There are a variety of different sounds used by crows, many of which will attract crow groups in nearby areas. Some popular sounds are the Attention Call, the Rally Call, and the Distress Call, all of which will attract curious crows to your location.
Calling with a hand dial is a tough job, but it can give you greater customization for calling and communicating with the birds. Place the dial between your thumb and index finger, then use the other finger to form a mask around the tip. More than just blowing it, you need to make a growling sound like when you are clearing your throat
Step 4. Build a perch
Crows like horizontal places to perch, such as fences or tree branches. Crows are sociable animals (live in groups), so you will need some perches for these birds. Crows are large birds, so any perch should be very sturdy. An old-fashioned bird bath made of concrete may be very useful.
You can also build artificial structures if you don't have enough natural space. Drive the posts into the ground and then put bars across them to create more perches
Step 5. Spread the food
Crows will eat anything, so it's pretty safe to ignore what kind of food you put outside. When you first catch a crow's attention, you'll need some obvious type of food, such as unpeeled nuts. As soon as the crows get used to coming to the yard, you can use a more varied diet, including ground (cat/dog) pet food or cuts of meat. Crows can eat a lot of food, so don't be afraid to spread it again after the crows have finished the food.
Part 2 of 2: Making the Crows Come Back
Step 1. As soon as you start distributing food, establish a regular feeding schedule
Crows are very smart, and will learn quickly if you provide food regularly. However a regular source of food is very attractive to any wild animal.
Step 2. Provide water
Provide drinks in small shallow containers for crows and other birds that come. You need a sturdy container so a cat or bird looking for a drink won't spill it. If you live in an area with four seasons, make sure that during the winter the water in the container is free of ice.
Step 3. Be patient
Maybe you're not getting the right crows, and your food supply is actually attracting squirrels, blue jays (stealing songbirds, mainly in North America), and other small birds. You may need to spread the food out for a few days before the crows follow other animals or birds near the food supply.
Tips
- Cats and dogs will not allow crows to come into the yard. If you have a cat or a dog, keep them both indoors.
- If you want a flock of crows to help eradicate pests in your garden, you may need to do a little covering so the birds don't eat the plants.
- Crows can make noise. So, make sure your neighbors don't mind these conditions.
