Tips
- When you're done, go to the bottom of the PowerPoint screen and press the button that looks like a screen. Play this game in slideshow mode.
- Be patient, fun games take time and effort. Take the time to think of an interesting or funny plot. In a game like this, the plot is a key factor in determining whether people will play it, because the game doesn't have the features of a video game program. If the plot was good enough, other people wouldn't even care about the game's features.
- You can create another slide by pressing ctrl+m.
- Use the Control Toolbox in PowerPoint to add objects like buttons and input boxes, then use Visual Basic to add some cool features to the game.
- This is a suitable way to design video game programs. Use this method to tell the plot of the game, then have your friends and family play it. Continuation or redesign of the game will be based on their response.
- Instead of using PowerPoint, use OpenOffice Impress. This app is basically a free version of PowerPoint. You can still create links, but OpenOffice Impress has the feature to export your work into SWF files (ie Flash Shockwave files like most internet games) so you can upload them to the internet and install them on your website for anyone to play in their browser.
- Add pictures, colors, sound effects and even movies to make this game appealing to gamers.
- When you're done, share the game with friends or family. They will wonder how you made it.
Warning
- If you're using PowerPoint 2007, make sure you test the game with lots of clicks.
- Some game genres can offend others. Be careful.
