How to Change Chat Background on WhatsApp (with Image)

WhatsApp is a fun program and can be customized to your heart's content. Tired of the beige background behind the whole chat? Change the chat background in the Settings menu by tapping Chats > Chats > Wallpaper.

Step

Method 1 of 2: Android

Step 1. Open WhatsApp

Step 2. Tap Menu

Step 3. Tap Settings

Step 4. Tap Chats

Step 5. Tap Wallpaper

Step 6. Select one of the following options:

• Gallery (will display your photo)
• Solid Color (default WhatsApp)
• Wallpaper Library (default WhatsApp)

Step 7. Tap on the new wallpaper

Step 8. Tap Set

Now, your chat background has changed.

Method 2 of 2: On iPhone

Step 1. Open WhatsApp

Step 2. Tap Settings

Step 3. Tap Chats

Step 4. Tap on Chat Wallpaper

Step 5. Select one of the following options:

• Wallpaper Library (default WhatsApp)
• Solid Colors (default WhatsApp)
• Photos (will show your Camera Roll)

Step 6. Tap on the new wallpaper

Step 7. Tap Set

Now, your chat background has changed.
