Talking like Donald Duck can be a great trick to surprise friends and make the kids laugh. The character of Donald Duck is over 80 years old and his voice is instantly recognizable to people of all ages. The key to speaking well like Donald Duck is perfecting your voice and imitating some of Donald Duck's signature slogans. Anyone can do it, you just need practice to master the technique.

Method 1 of 2: Sound Like Donald
Step 1. Stick your tongue on the roof of your mouth
Slightly open the teeth. Place your tongue so that the top of your tongue touches the roof of your mouth.
Step 2. Twist the tongue slightly to the right or left
Choose the direction that feels most comfortable. Place the side of the tongue slightly into the space between the upper and lower teeth.
Step 3. Press the tongue
Push the tongue against the inside of the teeth next to the mouth. Press firmly enough to keep your tongue in contact with your teeth, but loose enough that you can push air between your tongue and teeth.
Step 4. Vibrate the tongue
Blow air and aim it at the cheek where the tongue is. Use your cheek to push air through the gap behind or between your teeth and tongue. When you push the air well, you will hear a high-pitched rough sound.
- Try pushing air through the various spaces between your tongue and teeth until you find a good spot. It will be difficult at first but keep trying. Donald's voice can be obtained by strengthening the mouth muscles that are not normally used for speech.
- Be patient. The actor who currently voices Donald Duck took a year of practice to perfect his voice.
Step 5. Say the words in a normal voice
Most voice changes are done with the mouth, and not the vocal cords. If your throat hurts, rest. Talking like Donald Duck, especially when trying to swear like Donald, takes a lot of breath and can give you a headache. Even the voice of Donald needs a break after a long talk so make sure you don't push yourself.

Step 1. Say the Donald Duck expression
"Boys, oh boys!" This is the phrase Donald uses most often and is heard in most of his dialogues. This phrase can start a sentence and express a variety of emotions.
Use some of Donald's other favorite words like " scram ", " phooey ", and " doggone " constantly. Donald also likes to ask, "What's the big idea?"
Step 2. Get angry often
Donald is known as a grumpy duck who gets angry easily. Practice using Donald's voice. Try making an angry quack while doing Donald's voice.
Step 3. Sound inflection like Donald Duck
Donald Duck talks like a cartoon character. Listen to a video of Donald Duck talking and pay attention to the tone of his voice. When excited, Donald tends to speak more quickly and in a high pitched voice. When sad his tone drops and his speech slows down.
Tips
- Some words can be more difficult to pronounce. Try words like “hello” (which is pronounced as “hawow”.)
- Don't try to use your real voice. note that when people do it, they sound the same, whether it's a girl or a boy because they don't use their real voice
- Experiment with different positions of the tongue and lips in the mouth.
- Train. Train. Train! Everyone can do it, they just need to learn.
- Make sure you stay hydrated as this sound is difficult to make with a dry mouth.
