If you have something to smoke but don't have a utensil to smoke it, you can easily make a smoking utensil using items you have at home. You can make it easily, as well as make it a fun smoking tool. Fruit, a pen, or a water bottle can help you in an emergency.
Step
Method 1 of 4: Using Fruit
Step 1. Choose a firm fruit or vegetable
Apples or zucchini are good choices. You should choose fresh fruit and no mushy or rotten parts.
Step 2. Carve the fruit so that it forms a bowl to hold the ingredients to be smoked
Use a small kitchen knife to cut off the notched tops of the fruit.
Step 3. Use a skewer to make a hole from the side of the fruit to the center
A long, thin skewer with a pointed end is perfect for this purpose.
Step 4. Connect the holes with the bowl using a skewer
Make a small hole through the bowl to connect it to the channel on the side of the fruit.
Step 5. Blow the hole you just made
Make sure air can flow between the hole and the bowl. Remove any flaky flesh that appears when you blow the hole.
Step 6. Cover the bowl with aluminum foil
Make small holes in the aluminum foil using a safety pin. A layer of aluminum foil will keep the material to be smoked dry because it doesn't stick directly to the moist flesh of the fruit. The holes made will allow the smoke to pass through.
Step 7. Place the ingredients to be smoked in the fruit bowl
Fill a bowl that has just been lined with aluminum foil with the material to be smoked.
Burn the cigarette material with a lighter while you suck through the holes made in the sides of the fruit
Method 2 of 4: Using Book Scrolls
Step 1. Find a book with very thin paper
Books with thin pages such as the Bible are a good choice for this method. It would be even better if you could find a book that uses rice paper as the page.
Step 2. Tear off the pages of the book with as little print on them as possible
Ink can add harmful chemicals to your smoking pleasure.
Step 3. Cut the page into a rectangle
Cut a small rectangle about 5x3 cm in size.
Step 4. Fold the paper in half lengthwise
Make a crease in the center of the paper in a “V” shape to accommodate the material to be smoked.
Step 5. Place the cigarette material in the center of the paper
You can place the cigarette material (which is compacted first) in the V-shaped fold.
Step 6. Roll up the paper with your thumb and forefinger
Make a cigarette roll by pinching the paper in the center and rolling it between your fingers.
Roll the paper to one end of the paper and make sure the cigarette material is well wrapped in the paper
Step 7. Lick the edges of the paper gently to hold the paper together
Use saliva as adhesive to stick the papers together.
Tighten each end of the cigarette by twisting the paper slowly so that the cigarette material does not fall
Step 8. Burn one end while you suck the other end
Inhale slowly as you light one end of the paper and the cigarette material begins to burn.
Method 3 of 4: Using a Pen
Step 1. Look for a pen with a metal tip
A pen made of plastic will melt if you try to use it for smoking. The choice of metal tip is very important to prevent the plastic from melting due to heat.
Step 2. Disassemble the pen
Scrape all parts of the pen to get the metal tip and hollow pen shaft.
- Remove the tip of the pen by twisting it.
- Remove the writing pen, ink tank, and spring.
- Remove the back of the pen.
Step 3. Reattach the pen tip upside down
Insert the pointed metal tip into the hollow pen shaft. Push as far as possible to create a barrier between the pen and the metal tip. You can use a lighter to melt the plastic a little so that you can push the metal tip and hold it there.
Step 4. Fill the metal tip with cigarette material
Place a small amount of cigarette material on the metal tip being careful not to damage the barrier between the pen and the tip.
Step 5. Light the cigarette material while smoking
Suck slowly through the other end of the pen as you light the cigarette material placed on the metal tip.
Method 4 of 4: Making a Smoking Tool with a Large Compartment
Step 1. Find an empty water bottle and a teapot
The water bottle will be a compartment for the cigarettes, while the pitcher filled with water will be used to draw the smoke in.
Step 2. Cut the bottom of the bottle
Use scissors to cut the bottom of the water bottle. The bottle must be able to stand upright. So make sure you make a straight cut.
Step 3. Make a bowl using aluminum foil
Use a small square piece of aluminum foil to make a bowl over the water bottle. Gently push the aluminum foil down into the hole at the top of the bottle. Then, wrap the sides with another aluminum foil. Use tacks or earrings to make small holes in the bottom of the aluminum foil bowl.
Make sure the foil doesn't go too far below the neck of the bottle as you'll need to be able to lift it up to smoke
Step 4. Fill the pitcher with water
The water in the pitcher should be about the height of the water bottle. When you place it in the pitcher, the top of the bottle should stick out about 4 cm above the water level in the pitcher.
With the aluminum foil on top of the bottle, slowly lower the bottom of the open bottle into the pitcher
Step 5. Fill the bowl
Place the cigarette ingredients in the aluminum bowl at the top of the bottle.
If you lower the bowl and bottle into a pitcher of water after filling the bowl, there is a chance that the water pressure that builds up will cause the cigarette material to spread all over the place
Step 6. Turn on the bowl and fill the compartment
Use a lighter to light the cigarette material and burn it. While the cigarette material is burning, slowly lift the bottle in the water. When you do this, the negative pressure of the air will draw the smoke into the bottle. Stop before the bottom of the bottle lifts from the water and carefully remove the foil bowl.
Step 7. Inhale the smoke
Place the mouth in the bag of the bottle to suck in the smoke. Gently push the bottle back into the water to push the smoke into the mouth.
- The slower you pull the bottle, the more smoke fills the compartment.
- Try not to lift the bottle completely out of the water as the smoke will come out and you won't be able to suck it in.
- When the bottle reaches the bottom of the pitcher, you have to suck to empty the smoke. As you suck, the water will rise in the bottle. Stop inhaling the smoke before the water reaches the top of the bottle so you don't suck in the water.
Tips
- Put just enough cigarette ingredients in a bowl or paper. If you put too much, it will be difficult to light it and the smoke will be difficult to escape.
- Choose organic fruits and vegetables as a smoking device to prevent you from inhaling harmful chemicals.
- Choose a blank page usually found at the front or back of a book for rolling cigarettes. This will prevent you from possibly inhaling harmful ink.
- Change aluminum foil bowls frequently and clean bottles used in large-compartment smoking devices regularly.
- Instead of using aluminum foil for the fruit bowl, you can use the filter used for the kitchen sink.
- Using aluminum foil can be harmful to the lungs. This can be dangerous and should not be used too often.
- For bowls, you can use a small socket and punch a hole in the water bottle cap to insert it. This option is easier than making aluminum foil bowls.
- Don't use just any paper. Try rice paper as white paper or coated paper can burn your throat.
Warning
- Be careful when lifting the two-liter bottle used to make a smoking device with a large compartment. The aluminum foil on the side of the mouth of the bottle can become hot and burn your fingers.
- If the smoking material gets wet, it will be more difficult for you to inhale.
- Some cigarette ingredients may be considered illegal in some countries.
