The price of large plant pots is very expensive. You can make a durable pot yourself. This process does not require a lot of money, but it does require some effort.
Step
Step 1. Buy a plastic container that many companies use to move liquids or sand
This kind of container is very strong because it is designed for the loading and unloading process from inside the truck for years.
Buy used containers. It doesn't matter if the container has been used for a long time or is dented and scratched because it will cost less. Buy a legged container
Step 2. Make a hole in the bottom of the container with a grid-like pattern
-
This hole serves as a drain for water.
Step 3. Cut the weed barrier fabric (landscape fabric) to the right size and glue it to the container
This cloth will prevent the soil from splattering as well as drain the water out of the container. If the container has legs, this method will work very well. Use a knife if you want to make a few holes in the fabric, although this may not be necessary.
Step 4. Decorate the container
Purchase cheap wood planks to make three panels. Saw off the boards and secure them using screws from the back. Choose the right size screws so they don't go through the front of the board (this is not a difficult process). Measure twice, cut once.
Step 5. Screw the panels using elbow supports
Nail a few rubber rings (thick rubber rings available at the store are the cheapest option) in the bottom of the board so that the board is slightly elevated.
Step 6. Find a way that you don't need too much soil
You can use styrofoam. Fill half the container with Styrofoam and arrange to keep the water flowing or make a fake floor. This material will make the container lighter. You can also fill it with a large bag of soil. The more soil, the more water it can hold.
Step 7. Go to a plant store and buy some pretty plants that are on sale
You can also buy a roll border (rolled wooden fence) and wrap it around the outside of a pot or mortar bucket (puncture a hole in the bottom) to make beautiful and inexpensive plant pots.
Step 8. Take care of the plants in your garden so that they thrive
This is what it looks like about a year later.
