The chord of E minor, or Em, is one of the most important guitar chords to learn. You can ring this lock with just two fingers. His voice was deep and somber.
Step
Step 1. Place your middle finger on the 5th string, on the second fret
Remember that the 5th string is the second string from the top, also known as the A string. Place your middle finger right on the left of the second fret (for right-handed guitarists), as close to the fret as possible for a clean and clear sound.
Step 2. Place your ring finger on the 4th string, second fret
Place your ring finger directly under your middle finger, pressing down on the second fret on the D string (third string from above). Place your finger on the second fret, closer to the side of the guitar head.
The guitar head is a piece of wood at the end of the neck that contains the knobs for tuning the guitar
Step 3. Leave the other strings blank
All it takes in the key of E minor are those two strings and those two frets. Pay attention to the part of the finger you use; make sure you only use your fingertips so as not to interfere with the other strings. The other strings must be allowed to sound without being pressed.
Step 4. Sound all the strings at the same time
The Em clef uses all the strings, so you can sound all the strings at the same time. However, for a deeper, darker sound, only sound the top four strings. For a lighter sound, such as that used in ska or reggae songs, play the bottom 3-4 strings.
Step 5. Alternatively, remove the index finger from the key of E major to get the key of E minor
If you already know how to press the key of E major, you can play the key of E minor by releasing your index finger from the first fret. Your finger position should look like this:
