This wikiHow teaches you how to display the battery charge percentage on a Macbook. You can display these percentages by enabling battery status through Mac preferences and enabling the percentage option in the menu bar.

Step 1. Click
It's an apple icon in the top-left corner of the menu bar, at the top of the screen. The “Apple” menu will open after that.
Step 2. Click System Preferences
This option is the second option on the “Apple” menu.
Step 3. Click Energy Saver
This option is indicated by a light bulb icon in the second row of options.
Step 4. Click the "Show Battery Status in Menu Bar" checkbox
It's in the lower-left side of the "Energy Saver" window. The battery icon will appear in the top right corner of the menu bar. When the computer is connected to a power source, a lightning bolt will appear above the battery icon.
Step 5. Click the battery icon
Select the battery symbol in the menu bar at the top of the screen. A drop-down menu will open afterwards.
Step 6. Click Show Percentage
This option is at the bottom of the menu. Once selected, the power percentage will be displayed to the left of the battery symbol in the menu bar at the top of the screen. Once the percentage option is enabled, you can see a tick next to the "Show Percentage" option in the battery menu.
