Method 1 of 3: Checking Battery Life and Condition on Windows
Step 1. Check the battery icon
It's in the lower corner of the Windows taskbar. By default, the Windows taskbar is at the bottom of the screen. If there is a red x above the battery icon, it means there is a problem with your battery.
Step 2. Click the battery icon
This will provide more information about your battery. In addition, it will also tell you how much battery power is left at the top left of the screen window. If there is a problem with the battery, you will find the details at the top of the screen window. If a battery replacement is necessary, Windows will notify you.
Method 2 of 3: Getting Battery Report on Windows
Step 1. Right click
The start menu is a button with the Windows icon in the lower left corner of the taskbar.
Step 2. Click Windows PowerShell
It's in the middle of the menu that appears when you right-click the Start menu. Clicking this button will bring up the PowerShell options.
Step 3. Type powercfg /batteryreport
This PowerShell command will bring up a battery report.
Step 4. Press Enter
Pressing this button will bring up a battery report that can be opened in a web browser.
Step 5. Click to open the battery report
By default, this report will be saved in C:\users\username\battery report.html. This battery report can be opened in any web browser. This document contains information on battery type, usage history, capacity, and estimated capacity.
Method 3 of 3: Checking Battery Performance on Mac
Step 1. Click
It's in the upper-left corner of the menu bar.
Step 2. Click About This Mac
This option will appear first on the menu bar.
Step 3. Click System Report
This option is at the bottom of the Overview tab of the About This Mac menu. This option will open a menu containing various reports.
Step 4. Click Power
It's in the left sidebar menu, under the Hardware menu.
Step 5. Check the battery condition
You can find this information in the Health Information menu under the Battery Information option. The information that will appear might say “Normal”, “Replace Soon”, “Replace Now” or “Service Battery” next to Condition.
