Coin magic is the right type to start a career for beginner magicians. The four magic tricks below are easy to do. You just need a little practice and you can already brighten up the gloomy times. Just make sure you don't reveal the secret - let your friends wonder where you got your magic skills from.

Method 1 of 4: Switch Coin Tricks
Step 1. Start by telling the spectator that you will magically move a coin from one hand to another
Give them a break so they don't believe you. Make your words sound convincing, let them know that you've been practicing your telekinesis skills for a while. The more they doubt you, the more fun your magic will be.
The essence of magic tricks is confidence and distraction. The more "attractive," you are, the less likely the audience will want to check your hands and tricks. They'll get so caught up in the fun that it's unsuspecting if you can bring your magic tricks to life like a show
Step 2. Clench your fist, but leave a very small amount of space with your index finger

The coin will fall through your hand without you having to open it. It's very easy to fail at this trick, so make sure the coins are positioned properly to get through the small space
Step 3. Move your clenched fist over the other, and drop the coin without opening your fist
You'll look like you're moving your fist over your other hand - and the audience won't notice that you've dropped a coin into that hand. As soon as you feel the coin fall into your hand, make a fist.
Increase the space in the hand that is first clenched so that the coin will fall more easily; otherwise, the coin may get stuck
Step 4. Ask a volunteer to guess where the coins are
Hopefully they guess that the coin is in the fist first, because this fist is never opened to move the coin.
If they choose to guess a new fist, ask them to explain how the coin could have moved were it not for your telekinetic abilities
Step 5. Open both fists slowly, showing the first empty hand and the second hand with a coin in it
If you can keep your fingers from moving when you drop a coin and catch it immediately with a clenched fist, your friends will be impressed. Now, can you move tables in the same room?
If this trick is difficult to master, use a smaller coin. This coin will more easily fall through the space between your fingers
Method 2 of 4: Disappearing Elbow Trick
Step 1. Prepare a trick for your audience
Tell them that you can make a coin change color by rubbing it against your elbow. It's not a real trick, but don't tell the audience. This serves as a distraction from the actual trick so they won't suspect you.
Or, you can tell them that you will lose the coins. You can also use this option, but be aware that the audience may pay more attention to your hand
Step 2. Take a coin and place it in your dominant hand
Place your opposite elbow on the table and support your head on that hand. Instead of changing color, this coin will "disappear" mysteriously. The elbow on the table is the elbow where you will rub the coin.
Yes, your hands should support your chin. This hand must be clenched into a fist and not in an open position to perform the next part of the trick
Step 3. Start rubbing the coin against your forearm, in a closed coin position with your hand
After a few strokes, drop the coin on purpose and pretend otherwise. Oops, what a fool you are. At this point, you may want to distract them by saying that you need to practice more, or that the coin is just slippery - anything that could distract them from your hands.
Step 4. Take the coin with your hand resting on your chin
However, you can't be seen when you do this. You can choose one of these two ways:
- Pretend to take it into the polisher's hand and continue rubbing the coin. Do fake moves really, really fast.
- Pick up the coin with your dominant hand, but let the coin fall into the non-dominant hand under the table. This trick is more about timing precisely than hiding coins, just like the previous method.
Step 5. Continue rubbing your elbows (even this time without the coin)
Your hand is no longer holding something. Rub for a few seconds, telling the audience that something strange is going on. Coins don't change color… they just… disappear. You can then open your hand and show that it is empty.
If people want to check your other hand for coins, you can drop the coin down your collar before showing the hand
Step 6. Reapply the coin
This trick can end in the missing coin, or you can bring the coin back. You can do this in a variety of ways, starting with scratching your head with your non-dominant hand while pretending that a coin suddenly popped out of your hair, "picking" a coin from someone else's clothing, or "coughing" a coin out. Use any tricks you want.
If you want to play smart, wait until people have forgotten the trick. Then let the coins mysteriously reappear. Oh, so there he is. Huh. You don't even think so. Funny, right?
Method 3 of 4: Magical Coin Trick
Step 1. Find coins that are not identical on both sides
The 10p coin is a good example. If you're not sure if your country's currency has coins with these characteristics, take a moment and check the coins. You may be able to find a coin that has a thicker edge on one side, or a marked engraving. Make sure you can distinguish the two sides with your eyes closed.
You may be able to make a separate scratch on one side, but if someone else sees this scratch, he or she will be suspicious and reveal your secret. Better to use coins that don't look like they have any real difference
Step 2. Practice tossing a coin and guessing on which side the coin will fall back
Now that you know the texture of each side, you'll be able to guess where the coin will land when it lands. The important thing here is that you will catch the coin and transfer it to your hand. You should make sure you will feel the coin with your fingertips before you make a "guess."
Practice tossing the coin and feeling the sides, and opening the coin in one quick, natural motion. The one second you allocate to feeling the coin must be out of sight of the viewer or he will become suspicious
Step 3. Find a friend and "guess" the coin's landing position in turns
Let your friend toss it a few times to show that it's not a special coin designed for a particular trick. Then ask them to guess, but don't put a coin on your wrist just yet. Before you place it on your wrist, move the coin a little more slowly - and feel the surface facing down (you can do this with just your thumb as the coin will face up if you open your fist).
You can also manipulate the coins in your hand to land on the side you want. Prepare a trick 5 minutes in advance, or 10 seconds in advance, or even when you move a coin - you'll always be right in your guess
Step 4. Manipulate the coins in your hand
Before placing a coin on your wrist, move it so that it is on the side you want it to be and place it in a way that ensures that it will face in the direction you guessed it would be. You have to be quick to do this, practice to perfect your tricks. Once you've flipped the coin (or evaluated if you don't want to do that), you'll know that the underside is the side you've previously determined.
- The advantage of this trick is that you can do it again and again - unlike other tricks that require deep preparation.
- However, you can't do this trick when someone else is flipping a different coin. Tell the audience that you have to read the coin and you can only do this by touching the coin.
Method 4 of 4: Blank Cloth Trick
Step 1. Use a cloth, a coin, and a double tip
Secure a double tip to one corner of your fabric. Make sure the coin can stick to it.
- You can also use paper, rags, or paper towels. Make sure your coin is of the right size, not too big or too small.
- The smaller the double tip, the better (because it will be harder to see if your hand is not very skilled) - however, be careful that the coin may not stick if the double tip is too small.
Step 2. Take your cloth and show it to the audience
Keep the double-tipped side facing you. As far as the audience knows, this cloth is just a plain paper towel (or whatever you use).
Be careful when placing your finger on the double tip - you don't want the double tip to lose its sticking ability because of the oil from your fingers
Step 3. Place the coin in the center of the fabric, with the double-tipped side facing up
Show it to your audience. It looks like just a coin in a paper towel, right? Right. Just make sure your hand covers the double tip so it's not visible.
The thinner your fabric, the better. This way, when you show the center that has the coin, the sides will droop down and out of view for the viewer
Step 4. Fold the corners inward, starting with the corner with the double tip
Fold one by one. In this folded cloth pouch, you will remove the coins. But first, ask someone in the audience to feel and feel that the coin is still inside. In this way, suspicion will not arise.
Keep the corners folded when the person touches the fabric. However, have them touch the fabric from both sides. As long as they don't move the fabric, your trick will work perfectly
Step 5. Unfold and show the blank cloth, making sure your finger holds the coin
Then abracadabra! Show the cloth to the audience. Flick it while still holding the coin with your finger at one corner. Where did the coins disappear to?
Remember: if someone asks for his secret, say, "A magician never reveals his secrets!"
Tips
- Only perform the same trick to the same audience at all - otherwise they'll pay more attention the second time around and might see the secret of your trick.
