Amaze your friends with these amazing magic tricks. All you need is an audience, a pair of hands and sometimes a little practice before the show. Once you've mastered these tricks, you can immediately demonstrate them whenever someone asks, "Can you do magic?"

Step

Method 1 of 5: Mind Reading

Step 1. Choose an assistant

Ask a volunteer from the audience to come with you to another room so you can "establish a paranormal connection." Talk to the assistant in a closed room, where no one else can hear you.

Step 2. Tell the assistant about your plans

In this trick sometimes called "Black Magic", you will point at something in the room and the assistant will tell you what it is you are thinking of. The assistant must continue to answer "No," then answer "No" again when you point to the black object. The next object you point to after that will be the correct object and he will answer "Yes".

Read the other tricks below if you still don't understand how this trick works

Step 3. Return to the audience alone

Ask the assistant to wait in a separate room so he can't hear the audience. Go back to your audience's expectations and tell them "I charmed the assistant earlier, so he could read my mind. I'll prove it to you with this magic trick."

Step 4. Ask the audience to choose an object

Ask one of the spectators to name any object in the room. Point to the object and say "Now, my assistant will read my mind and tell you which object you have chosen."

Step 5. Ask the audience to pick up the assistant

Send at least two or three spectators to pick up the assistant again. That way, no one will think that you sent someone to cheat and tell the assistant what to choose.

If you want you can act as if you are "sending a paranormal message" by looking at the assistant and placing your fingers on the side of your head

Step 6. Point out some things that are wrong

Point to something the viewer didn't choose and say "Am I thinking of … (the name of the thing you're pointing at)?" Repeat this question for several different objects. The assistant must say "No," as agreed.

Step 7. Point to a black object

Point to another object that is wrong but black. Say "Is this what I was thinking?" The assistant has to say "no" one more time, but notices that the one you're pointing at is black.

Step 8. Point to the correct object

Point to the object the audience chose and say "Did I think of … (name of object pointed to)?" Now the assistant will answer "Yes" because the object is the first object you point to after the black object. Smile and bow to the audience.

Step 9. Repeat if the audience is curious

If the audience tries to guess how you did it, send the assistant out of the room again, select another object and repeat as before. Distract the audience from the actual code by pretending to use funny facial expressions and gestures, or other ways to phrase the question as a code. Do this trick two or three times, then stop so the audience can't guess your secret.

You can also talk back to your assistant and create a different code next time. For example, ask him to say "true" to the fifth object you point to

Method 2 of 5: Twisting Your Hands

Step 1. Get the audience to follow you

While doing this trick, ask the audience to imitate your hand movements. Take each step slowly and explain what you are doing to them. You're actually going to take one extra step that you didn't tell them. The audience's hands and arms will end up in a chaotic position, while yours will put two thumbs up in the air and deserve a thumbs up.

Step 2. Point your thumbs down in front of you

Extend your arms out in front of you and hold them, then bring both mothers down. Don't forget to invite the audience to do the same with you. Wait until everyone has imitated this hand gesture before continuing.

Step 3. Cross your arms and clasp your hands together

Move one arm over the other, still with the thumb pointing down. Clasp the fingers of your right and left hands together. The wrists – and the wrists of your spectators – are now twisted between each other, the fingers intertwined.

Step 4. Release one of your hands to point at someone

While the audience is looking for ways to copy your moves, keep talking to them to distract them from what you're doing. Say, "No, cross your arms like I do. Remember, your thumbs are down and you're clasping your hands together. That's it! See, that lady did it right." Keep your arms crossed above each other but release your hands so you can point to the audience you are talking to.

Step 5. Rotate one arm and bring your hands together again

While the audience is still looking in the direction you're pointing, quickly turn the hand you're pointing at. Turn the hands completely, so that your palms are touching again, then make your hands clasp together. This position will look similar to the position that the audience is in, but is actually much less twisted.

  • If you're trying to practice this trick and don't understand it, stop and stick your hand out in front of you with your thumbs up. Clasp your hands together, then turn them over so that your thumbs are now facing downwards. You should be in this position after the above step.
  • Keep talking and looking at the audience not your hands while doing this.

Step 6. Rotate your hand

Get the audience to imitate you, so everyone will make a two-thumb-up gesture. Pull your hands up toward your chest, turning your hands so that your thumbs are facing up. The audience will try to imitate you, but because they are in a different position, their hands will end up twisted, their arms crossed or in other chaotic movements.

Step 7. Pretend to be annoyed and repeat this trick

Tell them they must have done it wrong and repeat this trick from the beginning. Usually you can do this trick a few times, while the audience laughs and wonders why they can't do it. Use another distraction method each time you repeat this trick, so viewers don't get suspicious:

  • Release your hands to grab one of the spectators' hands and direct them to the "correct" position. Put your hands together again in a fake position that only you know.
  • Move your hands back and forth in a clenched fist, shouting "Abracadabra!" or some other "magic spell," then spin around while changing your hand position.

Method 3 of 5: Summoning Invisible Bubbles

Step 1. Use this trick for one person

You can use a volunteer from a large audience, but only one person will feel the strange effects of this magic trick. This trick is a magic trick that's better to use with friends or family members or when you can repeat it for everyone in a small group.

Step 2. Ask the person to hold his hands close to each other as if he were about to clap, with the palms facing each other

If you want to spice things up even more, ask him to clap to welcome the magic magician (that is you), then take his hand and stop him in that position after a few claps.

Step 3. Place your hand around his

Hold your hands in a similar position, palms facing in on both sides of the hand. Pretend like you're about to smack him in the same spot as him.

Step 4. Ask him to push your hand away

Press in on both hands as hard as possible. At the same time, he has to push out with his hand against yours. Do this for 60 seconds.

If you want, cast a "magic spell" when you do this

Step 5. Stop pushing

After about a minute, ask him to stop pushing. Release your hand and ask if he feels anything. He will feel an "invisible bubble" pushing his hand out, even though nothing is touching it.

Method 4 of 5: Drifting

Step 1. Practice first

This trick is difficult to do, because the audience has to look at you from the right angle. Find a friend who will watch you as you practice and help you figure out the best way to position yourself while trying the steps below.

Step 2. Wear long pants

Choose pants whose pipes hang down, half covering your feet or shoes. The pants that work best for this trick will hide your heels but still reveal your toes and the center of your foot.

Step 3. Step away from the audience

Tell them that you need space to concentrate and not to fall on top of them when the drift magic is over. Spectators should be 2.5 to 3 meters away from you.

Do an exaggerated move to "find the right spot" to convince the audience that this trick is difficult

Step 4. Stand at an angle away from your audience

This is when your friend will help, as you may have to experiment with this trick in a few different angles to find out where the illusion looks most convincing. Usually, the magician stands about 45º away from the audience so the audience can see the back of your heel and the entirety of your left foot, but not the toe of your right foot.

You can also imagine calculating this step in a clockwise direction. Your toes point at 10:30 or 11 and the crowd is at 6 o'clock

Step 5. Stand on the toes of your left foot

Make a skit as if the hover trick is very difficult and raise your arms slowly in the air as if you were pulling yourself up. Push your body up by resting only on the toes of your right foot, the foot that the audience cannot see. Lift your left heel and your entire left foot, trying to keep everything in balance with each other. Keep your left foot parallel to the ground. "Hover" only for a few seconds in this position.

Step 6. Drop your feet back on the ground

After a few seconds, lower back to the ground. Bend your knees and heels as they hit the ground to make it look as if you fell from a greater height than you actually were.

Method 5 of 5: Pranking People with Fake Magic Tricks

Step 1. Tell a friend that you can make him move without touching him

Say to your friend, "I guarantee you will move before I finish walking around you three times, without anyone touching you." If he doesn't agree, reassure him that no one is going to help you and he doesn't have to do anything but stand still.

Step 2. Surround him slowly

Walk around her while pretending to be concentrating really hard. Leave a distance of at least 60 cm between you and him. Turn to him and say "one" when you've circled him once.

Step 3. Walk around it a second time

Continue to surround him slowly. Stop and wipe the fake sweat off your forehead and say "Okay, you're strong, but I can still do this." Complete the process of circling it this second time and say "Two".

Step 4. Walk away

Turn around quickly and walk away from your friend, before he realizes what's going on and tries to grab you. Wave to him and promise that you'll be back in a year or two to complete the third circumnavigation step.
