Method 1 of 2: Deleting Direct Messages
Step 1. Open Discord
This app has a blue icon with a white game controller (gamepad) image. You can find it on your home screen or app drawer.
Step 2. Tap the button
It's in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Select a friend under “Direct Messages”
Here you will find all Direct Message conversations with friends.
Step 4. Tap and hold the message you want to delete
A pop-up menu will appear.
Step 5. Tap Delete (delete)
This step removes the message from the conversation.
Method 2 of 2: Deleting Messages on a Channel
Step 1. Open Discord
This app has a blue icon with a white game controller (gamepad) image. You can find it on your home screen or app drawer.
Step 2. Tap the button
It's in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Step 3. Select a server
You must select the server that hosts the conversation channel where the message to be deleted is located.
Step 4. Select a channel
Step 5. Tap
It's in the upper right corner of the screen. A pop-up menu will appear.
Step 6. Tap Search
Step 7. Type in your username and tap on the magnifying glass
This step searches for the channel of the message you sent.
Step 8. Tap the message you want to send
A window titled “Preview Chat” will appear.
Step 9. Tap Jump to Chat
It's at the very bottom of the screen.
Step 10. Scroll up until you find the message you want to delete
Step 11. Tap and hold the message
A pop-up window will appear.
Step 12. Tap Delete
This message will be removed from the channel.
