Eevee is one of the few Pokemon that continues to receive new evolutions as the world of Pokemon evolves. There are currently eight Eeveelutions available: Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon. The availability of each of these evolutions depends on the game you are playing. Evolving Eevee will give your Pokemon a significant power boost and give it lots of new techniques.
Step
Part 1 of 4: Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon
Step 1. Decide what elements you choose
Eevee can transform into Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon if given Water, Thunder, or Fire Stone. Giving one of these things to Eevee will make it change according to the element Stone you are using.
This evolution is available in all Pokemon games and is the only evolution available in Blue, Red, and Yellow
Step 2. Find the Stone you need
The location and method of obtaining these Stones differ depending on which version of the game you are playing. These are easiest to find in the early versions of Pokemon games because you just have to buy them.
- Pokemon Red, Blue, and Yellow. All three can be purchased at the Celadon Department Store.
- Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. You can trade Shards to Diving Treasure Hunters for Stones. You can also get Water Stones in Abandoned Ship, Thunder Stones in New Mauville, and Fire Stones in Fiery Path.
- Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Stone you can find by mining in Underground. In Platinum, you can also find it in Solaceon Ruins.
- Pokemon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. These three Stones can be found in the Dust Clouds in the cave, and in various shopping places depending on which version you are playing.
- Pokemon X and Y. These three stones can be purchased in Lumiose City from the Stone Emporium obtained through Secret Super Training defeating Inver on Route 18. You can also find Fire and Water Stones on Route 9 and Thunder Stones on Routes 10 and 11.
Step 3. Use the Stone
Once you get the Stone you want, simply give it to Eevee. The evolution will happen instantly, and you'll instantly get a Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon. This evolution cannot be repeated, but it can be done at any level.
Your Stone will disappear after use
Part 2 of 4: Espeon and Umbreon
Step 1. Evolve your Eevee into Espeon or Umbreon depending on when you leveled up
To get one of these evolutions, your Eevee needs a high level of friendship or happiness. Your friendship level must be 220 or higher.
You can only evolve your Eevee into an Umbreon or Espeon in Pokemon Generation 2 or later, as early Pokemon games, FireRed, or LeafGreen didn't have a time or clock element
Step 2. Increase your friendship with Eevee
Using Eevee in multiple battles and keeping him in a group will increase your friendship with Eevee, allowing him to evolve. You can also perform special actions to increase your friendship faster.
- Taking care of Eevee can also provide a large friendship bonus.
- Raising the level of Eevee also provides a fairly large bonus for each level.
- Every 512 rarities you pick up will increase friendship by a small amount.
- Using heal will decrease your friendship, and if your Eevee loses a fight, his friendship will decrease slightly. Avoid healing Eevee in battle and use the Pokemon Center to heal.
Step 3. Check your friendship level
Some in-game NPCs will tell you the approximate friendship level. NPCs will say different things when you talk to them, depending on their friendship level.
Kanto (FireRed and LeafGreen) has NPC Daisy Oak in Pallet Town. Johto has a female NPC in a house in Goldenrod City, Hoenn has a female NPC in Verdanturf Town and a male NPC in Pacifidlog Town, and Sinnoh has a female NPC at the Pokémon Fan Club in Hearthome, Aroma Lady at the Pokémon Center in Eterna City, and Dr. Footsteps on Route 213, as well as the Pokétech Friendship Checker app. Unova has female NPCs in the Pokemon Fan Club in Icirrus City, and female NPCs in Nacrene City. At B&W2, you can also contact Bianca on Xtransceiver. In Kalos, there are female NPCs in Santalune City, and NPCs in Laverre City's fan club
Step 4. Level up your Eevee at the right time to get the evolution you want
The evolution that occurs will depend on whether you level up during the day or night. You can level up Pokemon through battles or using Rare Candy.
- Level up your Eevee in daylight (4AM to 6PM) to evolve into Espeon.
- Level up your Eevee in the dark (6PM to 4AM) to evolve into Umbreon.
Part 3 of 4: Leafeon and Glaceon
Step 1. Evolve your Eevee into Leafeon or Glaceon by leveling it up near the right rock
In Generation 4 (Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum) and later, you can find Moss Rock (Leafeon) and Ice Rock (Glaceon) while circling the map. Level up your Eevee in the same area as the rock to start the evolution process.
- Evolution through Moss or Ice Rock will cover other possible evolutions such as Umbreon or Espeon.
- This stone is an item on the map and cannot be picked up or purchased. You just need to be in the same area as the rock and don't have to be on the same screen as you. These stones can be found in various locations depending on the version of the game you are playing.
Step 2. Find Moss Rock
Moss Rock will make your Eevee evolve into Leafeon. In each game, you can find one Moss Rock.
- Diamonds, Pearls and Platinum. Moss Rock is in Eterna Forest. You can start your evolution anywhere in the forest area except Old Cateau.
- Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Moss Rock can be found in Pinwheel Forest. You can start the evolution when you are anywhere in the forest area.
- X and Y. Moss Rock is on Route 20. You can make evolution happen while you're on Route 20.
Step 3. Find Ice Rock
Moss Rock will evolve your Eevee into Glaceon. Each game has one Ice Rock.
- Diamonds, Pearls and Platinum. Ice Rock can be found in Snowpoint City on Route 217. Evolution will happen if you are in the area.
- Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Ice Rock is on the lower floor of Twist Mountain west of Icirrus City. You must be in the same room as the location of the Ice Rock in order to make its evolution happen.
- X and Y. Ice Rock is in the Forst Cavern just north of Dendemille Town. You need to use Surf to get to Ice Rock and evolve your Eevee.
Step 4. Level up your Eevee
In order for you to make the evolution happen, all you have to do is level up your Eevee either through combat or Rare Candy. The evolution will happen automatically if you are near Moss or Ice Rock.
Part 4 of 4: Sylveon
Step 1. Teach Fairy-type techniques to your Eevee
In order to get Sylveon, you must make sure that your Eevee has Fairy-type techniques. As Eevee levels up, you'll gain Baby-Doll Eyes at level 9 and Charm at level 29. Eevee must know one of these moves in order to evolve into Sylveon.
Step 2. Play the Pokemon-Amie mini game
In Generation 6, you can play with your Pokemon and increase the Pokemon's affection for you. Increasing affection will affect certain attributes and abilities and allow certain evolutions to occur. Raising your Eevee's affection to two hearts will allow him to transform into Sylveon.
Affection and friendship are not related to each other
Step 3. Feed Poke Puff to your Eevee
In the Pokemon-Amie mini game, feeding your Eevee a Poke Puff will increase the affection level. The better Puff you give, the higher affection you will get.
Step 4. Rub or high-five your Eevee. Making the right interactions will help increase affection. You can high-five by holding your stylus in one place for a moment. Eevee will lift his foot and make contact with you to increase affection.
Step 5. Level up your Eevee
Once your Eevee acquires a fairy type technique and 2 hearts, you can evolve your Eevee into Sylveon. To make it happen, you just need to level up your Eevee through combat or Rare Candy.
