Once you use your Android phone, you will start to rely on it for your daily activities. With an Android phone, you can send instant messages, receive email notifications, take notes, and do many other things. However, when using a computer, sometimes you feel lazy to check your phone, either to access files or view notifications. Because of this, technology is available that will allow you to easily access your Android phone from your PC.

Method 1 of 3: Using a USB Cable
Step 1. Connect Android phone to computer via USB cable
This cable is available in the cell phone sales package. Plug the small end of the cable into the USB port on the bottom of the phone.
- Plug the large end of the cable into an empty USB port on your computer.
- A USB icon and a "Connected as Media Device" notification will appear on the phone's notification bar. By default, your Android phone will be connected in Media Device (MTP) mode. With this mode, you can access files in your phone, as well as copy new media files to them.
Step 2. Access your phone
Now, the phone is connected to the computer in mass storage mode, and the phone will appear as a normal USB drive. Open File Explorer on your computer, then double-click the device name under “Devices with Removable Storage.”
Step 3. Find the file you want
After accessing your phone's memory, you can open folders and files in them by double-clicking on them.
You can also cut, move, and paste new files directly to your phone's storage
Method 2 of 3: Using AirDroid
Step 1. Make sure you are signed in to AirDroid
Find and tap the AirDroid icon on your phone's home screen or app drawer.
- If you are already logged in, you will be directed to the account view. If not, enter your AirDroid account information in the fields provided, then tap "Sign In".
- Don't close AirDroid on your phone. To exit the app view, instead of closing it, press the Home button.
- If you don't have AirDroid installed, first download the app from Google Play.
Step 2. Visit the AirDroid site with any browser on your computer
The start page of this site will ask you to sign in to AirDroid.
Step 3. Enter your AirDroid account email address and password in the fields provided, then click “Sign in.”
Step 4. Access the Android phone from the computer by clicking on the name of the phone
After the computer is connected to the phone, After the connection is successful, you will receive an AirDroid notification on the phone.
- Now, you can send SMS, make calls, receive app notifications, uninstall apps, delete call and message logs, and upload music or image files to your Android device via PC.
- You can access your Android phone via AirDroid even if the phone is out of reach. You don't need to connect your computer and phone to the same network to use AirDroid.
Method 3 of 3: Using Mobizen
Step 1. Find and tap on the pink circle icon with a blue "m" in the center to open Mobizen
Mobizen allows you to easily access your Android phone from your computer
Step 2. Sign in to Mobizen on the phone
Enter the Mobizen ID and password in the fields provided, then tap "Sign In" to access the app.
Step 3. Install Mobizen on the computer
You can download the Mobizen installation file from the official website. Click “Download Mobizen PC” in the middle of the screen, then wait for the download process to complete. After that, run the installation program.
Step 4. Connect PC to Android phone
Double click the Mobizen icon on the desktop, then log in with your Mobizen account. Mobizen will detect the best connection to use (USB, Wi-Fi, or 3G). If your computer is connected to a Wi-Fi network, Mobizen will use that network to connect to your phone.
To transfer large files, you can use a USB connection. In fact, Mobizen can also be used over a cellular data network
Step 5. Access Android device from computer
After connecting your phone, you can now access your phone remotely. With Mobizen, you can manage your device, as well as answer messages and calls. Apart from that, you can also use Mobizen to transfer files.
