Oil Pulling is a traditional Indian remedy that has been used for centuries to maintain health. Basically, Oil Pulling is a treatment method by gargling with oil. This method is believed to eliminate toxins in the body, making you healthier and fresher. All you need is a bottle of oil and about 10-15 minutes. See step number 1 for further instructions.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Doing Oil Pulling
Step 1. Purchase a variety of cold pressed organic oils
Some people who often do Oil Pulling feel that sesame oil is one of the most effective oils, but others prefer coconut oil because of its texture and taste. Try to use several variations of oil every few days to get the full benefits of each type of oil and find out which oil suits you best.
Olive oil and sunflower seed oil are most often used for Oil Pulling. Avoid canola oil or any type of oil that contains additives
Step 2. The first thing you should do in the morning is prepare a tablespoon of oil
Keep in mind that it is important to do Oil Pulling before you brush your teeth or consume any food or drink. You can clean your mouth after the Oil Pulling process is complete. The Oil Pulling process itself does not require a long time.
Step 3. Gargle with your chosen oil for 10-15 minutes
The oil in your mouth mixes with your saliva, then absorbs and 'attracts' the toxins in your mouth. When you leave the oil around your mouth, teeth, gums and tongue, the oil will continue to absorb toxins and will usually turn thick and milky white.
Step 4. Once done, remove the oil and clean your mouth thoroughly with warm water
It is very important to get rid of the oil that is in the mouth when the oil starts to get thick. It usually takes about 10-15 but no more than 20 minutes for the oil to turn thick.
Do not rinse your mouth for too long until the toxins that have been absorbed by the oil are absorbed back into your mouth. Throw the oil in the trash and clean your mouth with warm water thoroughly. Warm water works better at removing excess oil from the mouth than cold water
Part 2 of 3: Developing a Routine
Step 1. Change the oil variation every few days
If you want to try different types of oil to see which one works best for you and which one has the best results, then try as many types of oil as possible. Try a different oil every morning. Fill your kitchen with a variety of organic oils and experiment with the properties and uses of each.
Organic virgin oil like coconut oil is not cheap, but this type of oil is very versatile. You can use coconut oil to make toothpaste and massage oil. You can also use the oil in your hair and in your frying pan
Step 2. Prepare the oil you want to use the night before
Some people don't like to feel the oil in their mouth in the morning. However, it is important to do this process before you clean your mouth or consume anything else. So, make the process easy for yourself. Try preparing the oil you will use before you go to bed and placing it at your bedside. Or, put the oil you're going to use on the bathroom counter so you don't have to think about it. Put it in your mouth and start gargling.
If you usually put your toothbrush on the bathroom counter, try placing your toothbrush somewhere else and putting the oil you use to rinse your mouth instead. It will form your habit quickly
Step 3. Make this process part of your light workout routine
If you usually do calisthenic or light stretching in the morning before breakfast, then make Oil Pulling a part of the habit. Wake up your body and start your day well. The more often you include this activity in your routine, the easier it will be for you to make Oil Pulling a habit in your life.
Whatever you usually do in the morning, make oil pulling a part of your routine. Gargle while reading the newspaper or reading your favorite blog
Part 3 of 3: Understanding the Benefits of Oil Pulling
Step 1. Keep your teeth clean with Oil Pulling
Several studies have shown that doing oil pulling on a regular basis can reduce the number of s. mutans, a bacterium that often causes various oral diseases and is a major cause of tooth decay, dental plaque, gingivitis and cavities. The lipids contained in the oil work to absorb bacteria and prevent bacteria from sticking to the walls of the mouth.
Emulsifier and vegetable oil enhance the saponification process (soap formation), so you will feel like cleaning your mouth with soap when doing Oil Pulling
Step 2. Try doing Oil Pulling to get rid of bad breath
Halitosis is caused by bacteria and fungi in the mouth and tongue. Doing Oil Pulling with virgin oil on a regular basis will reduce bacteria and fungi, prevent bad breath and produce a clean and healthy mouth. If you have trouble with bad breath, make Oil Pulling a part of your routine.
Step 3. Use Oil Pulling to support a holistic, holistic way of living
Some people see the benefits of Oil Pulling as a body detox and various positive effects, including reducing hangovers, pain, relieving headaches, insomnia, and so on.
Several studies have shown that virgin oil, especially sesame oil, has high levels of antioxidants, sesamol, sesamin, sesamolin, and vitamin E. These substances can inhibit the absorption of bad cholesterol in the liver. Antibacterial in virgin oil supports the use of Oil Pulling to support oral health
Tips
- For better results, make sure the oil you use is of good quality/or organic.
- When you remove oil from your mouth, it will look like milk and this is normal!
- Don't throw the oil down the sink as it can clog the drain, especially if you use coconut oil because coconut oil hardens easily at room temperature.
