This wikiHow teaches you how to find a Tumblr blog by searching for a username, blog name, user email address, or related category. While you can't follow certain people on Tumblr like on Twitter or Facebook, you can follow their blogs.

Method 1 of 2: On Phones and Tablets
Step 1. Open the Tumblr app
The app icon is dark blue and contains a white "t". Clicking on it will open the Tumblr dashboard if you are logged in to your Tumblr account.
If you're not logged into your Tumblr account, enter your Tumblr email address and password to sign in
Step 2. Tap the magnifying glass icon
It's at the bottom of the screen. Tapping it will open the search bar and display the phone's keyboard on the screen.
Step 3. Type in the name of the blog
You can also type a person's name or blog URL address as long as the search keywords match the information listed on the blog.
If you're not looking for a specific blog, type in keywords that match your interests, like "gaming" or more specific keywords like "Dark Souls 3 art"
Step 4. Tap the Search button
This key is on the phone's keyboard. Tapping it will search for a specific blog, person, or keyword on Tumblr.
Step 5. Tap on More Tumblrs option
This option is at the bottom of " TOP TUMBLRS ". Tapping on it will display a whole list of search results that will direct you to blogs related to the search keyword.
Step 6. Follow the desired blog
Tap the button Follow which is at the top right of the blog. After that, the blog posts you follow will appear on the Tumblr dashboard.
Method 2 of 2: On Computer
Step 1. Open the Tumblr website
Go to https://www.tumblr.com/. After that, the Tumblr dashboard page will open if you are logged into your Tumblr account.
If you're not logged into your Tumblr account, click the button Login, enter your email address and password, and click the button Login.
Step 2. Click the profile icon
The icon is shaped like a silhouette of a person and is at the top right of the dashboard. Clicking on it will open a drop-down menu.
Step 3. Click the Following button
You'll find this button at the top of the drop-down menu.
Step 4. Click the "Follow" text field
This text field is in the middle of the page, below the "Following # Tumblrs" text.
If you're not looking for a specific person, you can click the search field at the top left of the page
Step 5. Type in the blog's name, URL address, or email address
Make sure you type it exactly according to the information listed on the blog or email (electronic mail or email).
If you use the search field, you can also type keywords, such as dogs, to find blogs that match your keywords
Step 6. Click the Follow button
This button is to the right of the "Follow" search field. Clicking on it will follow the desired blog automatically.
