There are many ways to refresh without showering, whether you don't have time to shower or trying to conserve water. Certainly not comfortable when your body stinks. Therefore, it is important for you to learn some techniques to keep body odor under control.
Step
Part 1 of 3: Bathing Without Water
Step 1. Use a wet tissue to wipe the body
You can use scented wet wipes or baby wipes. Use a tissue to wipe the skin on the armpits, intimate organs, and feet because these areas are prone to bad odors. After that, use a new wet tissue to clean the rest of the body.
Use separate facial wet wipes to quickly clean your face. Although it does not have a significant impact on body odor, a clean face helps create a clean appearance. Special facial wet wipes also help prevent acne and fight other facial bacteria
Step 2. Clean yourself using a sponge
You can use a damp sponge or washcloth/towel to clean yourself. This method is a great choice for refreshing your body when you're in a hurry or don't want to waste water. Focus on cleaning the armpits, intimate organs, and feet first. After that, clean the other body parts. All you need to clean and smell good is warm water, a washcloth, and a little soap.
Step 3. Use dry shampoo to keep hair fresh
When you don't wash your hair, it becomes greasy, making it look limp and smell bad. If you want to clean and freshen your hair, spray dry shampoo at the roots. This product is usually available in the form of a spray or powder. High quality dry shampoo can absorb oil, clean hair, make it smell good, and increase hair volume. With hair that looks clean and smells fresh, you'll look neat and well-groomed.
- Choose dry shampoo in a spray bottle for best results and easy application. You can buy dry shampoo from the internet, beauty product stores, or supermarkets.
- Sometimes, you may need to brush your hair after using dry shampoo to remove any excess product.
Step 4. Use baby powder on the body after you wipe the body
Baby powder has a sweet fragrance and can absorb excess oil.
Part 2 of 3: Using Deodorizing Products
Step 1. Apply deodorant on the armpits
The use of deodorant is the right step to prevent body odor, and refresh the body in a short time. It's a good idea to take deodorant with you when you travel so you can reuse it if necessary.
- There are many different types of deodorants and antiperspirant products available. Therefore, choose the right product for you. Some products are sold in clear liquid form, while others are available as deodorant sticks and sprays. Do an internet search to determine which deodorant product is best for you.
- Antiperspirant products prevent sweating while deodorants neutralize the odor of sweat.
- Every time you shower or clean your armpits, make sure you reapply deodorant on your underarms before getting dressed. Thus, body odor can be prevented.
Step 2. Spray cologne or perfume
If you find yourself smelling bad, spritz on some perfume or cologne. You can also use a body mist product if you like a softer scent. However, do not overuse the product as the smell can be overpowering and annoying. Spray cologne or perfume on the neck, wrists, and chest.
Make your own body mist mixture by putting a few drops of your favorite essential oil in a spray bottle filled with water. This mixture is a natural product to absorb body odor
Step 3. Use liquid soap and scented lotion
By using a scented liquid soap when you clean your body with a sponge, and a scented lotion after, your body will smell good for longer. Apply the scented lotion all over your body after you dry off, and take the lotion with you on the go so you can reuse it throughout the day.
Part 3 of 3: Keeping the Body Fragrant in Other Ways
Step 1. Put on clean clothes
If you want your body to smell good, your clothes must smell good too. It is important that you wear clean clothes, especially underwear. Change underwear and socks every day to avoid bad odors. Wash soiled clothes before you put them back on.
Wear clothes with breathable materials, such as cotton, to allow your skin to breathe. Thus, if you tend to sweat a lot, body odor can be prevented or reduced
Step 2. Remove odors from shoes
Smelly feet is a problem that many people face and can get worse if you don't shower often. Therefore, make sure your shoes and feet keep smelling fresh using deodorizing products on the feet and the inside of the shoes.
- The most common method of removing odors from shoes is the use of baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda into your shoes every day to keep them smelling fresh. If you have a more serious odor problem, pour more baking soda into your shoes, put them in a plastic bag, and refrigerate them overnight. This method can eliminate bad odors.
- As another method, you can put orange peels in your shoes and let them sit overnight. The fresh citrus scent can eradicate unpleasant odors.
Step 3. Spray fabric freshener on clothes
If you're having trouble getting the odor out of your clothes or really don't have time to wash what you need to wear, use a fabric freshener. Spray an appropriate amount on the clothes and make sure you don't get the cloth wet. Some of the products that are quite popular are Kispray and Stella Fabric Spray.
You can also make your own fabric softener or deodorizer mixture from household ingredients. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda and 2 tablespoons of vinegar with hot water, and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. For added fragrance, add a few drops of an essential oil, such as lavender or peppermint oil
Step 4. Freshen your breath
Fresh breath will increase your overall body fragrance. You need to brush your teeth, floss between your teeth, and rinse your mouth with mouthwash every day. It's also a good idea to always bring chewing gum or mint candy to keep your breath fresh.
