However, for people who don't want to (or can't) pay, there are hundreds of free books on the internet that can be searched and obtained. You can find books for the Kindle of various genres from a variety of sources through several search methods. Guaranteed you can enjoy exciting reading easily and quickly.

Method 1 of 6: Finding Free Books on Kindle Store
Step 1. Sign in to your Amazon account
Visit Amazon at www.amazon.com and log into your account by clicking the “Sign in” button in the top right corner of the page. Enter the account email address and password, then click the orange button to proceed to the next step.
Step 2. Visit the Kindle Store
Hover over the “Shop by Department” section in the top right corner of the toolbar to open the drop-down menu. After that, hover over the “Kindle E-readers & Books” option to open the menu list on the right side of the screen.
Click the “Kindle Book” listing under the “Kindle Store” heading in the menu box. After that, you'll reach the Kindle books segment on the Amazon page
Step 3. Go to “Free & Cheap Reads for Kindle”
Scroll through the page and look for the “More to Explore” menu in the left sidebar. Click the “Free & Cheap Reads for Kindle” link to browse our selection of the best rated free Kindle books.
Step 4. Choose a category
The next page will display categories such as “Free Classics”, “Top Rate Free Romance”, “Top Rate Free Mystery”, and others. Scroll down and select a category by clicking the blue “See more” link on the desired category.

Step 5. Choose a book
Click on a book title to see more information about the book, including reviews from other readers.
Step 6. Get the book
If you want to download the book, enter your email address or phone number in the field next to the “Send me the link” button. After that, click the button to get a digital copy of the book.
Method 2 of 6: Subscribe to Amazon's RSS Feed
Step 1. Sign in to your Amazon account
If you want to be notified whenever a free Kindle book is offered on Amazon, you can subscribe to its RSS feed. First visit the Amazon site at www.amazon.com and log into your account by clicking the “Sign in” button in the top right corner of the page.
Enter your email address and password, then click the orange button to proceed to the next step
Step 2. Visit the Kindle Store
Hover over the “Shop by Department” section in the top right corner of the toolbar to open the drop-down menu. After that, hover over the “Kindle E-readers & Books” option to open the menu list on the right side of the screen.
Click the “Kindle Book” listing under the “Kindle Store” heading in the menu box. After that, you'll reach the Kindle books segment on the Amazon page
Step 3. Select a category
Click a book category you want to follow in the left sidebar, then select the desired subcategory to browse through its pages.
Step 4. Look for the RSS feed symbol
Scroll through the page and look for the RSS feed symbol at the bottom of the page. This symbol is below the list of Kindle books of the specific subcategory.
Step 5. Click the subscription link next to the RSS feed symbol
A pop-up window will appear at the top of the page.
Step 6. Subscribe to the RSS feed
Click “Subscribe method” to open the drop-down menu. The automatically selected method is “Live Bookmarks”. However, you can choose one of the other methods to subscribe to the feed.
- You can also make this method your primary choice by clicking the box below it.
- Click “Subscribe now” at the bottom of the feed box to subscribe to the RSS feed of the selected book category.
Step 7. Confirm the selection by clicking the subscription button on the pop-up window
From now on, you'll be notified about offers, discounts, free promotions, and other features from the Kindle book category you're subscribed to.
Method 3 of 6: Creating an Amazon Prime Member
Step 1. Visit Amazon's main page at www.amazon.com
On a website, hover over the “Amazon” logo in the top-left corner of the landing page. You can see the “Try Prime” link under the logo.
Step 2. Click the “Try Prime” link to open the subscription page
Click the “Start your 30-day free trial” button on the right side of the page to register for a membership.

Step 3. Follow the free trial period
To subscribe to a free trial period, click the “Try Prime free” button at the bottom of the page, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Keep in mind that you can cancel your Prime membership any time you want

To become a permanent Prime member, select the radio button under the “Enter your credit card information” and “Enter your billing address” segments to select an existing credit card or billing address, or add a new card information and billing address.

Step 1. Visit the “Many Books” website at
On this site, there are more than 29,000 free e-books in Kindle format for readers around the world. You can find a wide variety of Kindle books by searching for the author's name, title, genre, and language.
- Click the search options link on the left sidebar of the main page. You can browse the list of authors, book titles, genres, and languages by clicking on the available link titles.
- Type the title of the book or the author's name into the “eBook search” field in the upper-left corner of the page, then press the “Enter” key on the keyboard. You can see a list of titles that match the following search keyword.
- You can also browse books using the “New titles”, “Recommended”, “Popular” and “Downloads” sorting filters on the left side of the page. Click one of these links to search for available Kindle book titles.
Step 2. Visit the “Open Library” website at
There are more than 20 million books stored in this library, and some of them are stored in Kindle format which can be accessed for free.
- Click one of the sorting tabs in the top-left corner of the page to browse book titles by author list or topic.
- Scroll down and type “Free books” into the search field in the lower right corner of the page. You can see a list of all the free books available afterwards.
Step 3. Visit the “Project Gutenberg” website at
Here, all existing books can be downloaded for free. You just need to search for the Kindle format for the selected book.
- Click the sorting link at the top of the page. You can see two sorter links: “Book category” and “Catalog”. Browse the various books available by clicking on one of these options.
- Visit https://m.gutenberg.org to find and download the Kindle books you want directly to your device. This segment is specifically designed for Kindle books. You can sort content by popularity “Popular”, latest release date (“Latest”), or random factor (“Random”) to find the book you want.

Step 1. Request Kindle books from friends' collections

- Click the “Visit site” button at the top of the Pin submission to access genuine websites or blogs that offer free Kindle books in various categories. Browse the list of books on the original site and download the desired copy of the Kindle book.
- You can subscribe to or follow the Pinterest board for regular updates on Kindle books being released for free.
Step 3. Do a search on Facebook
Sometimes, you can find pages or groups that offer lists of popular Kindle books that you can download for free. Visit the main Facebook page at www.facebook.com and log in to your account.
Type a keyword such as “Free Kindle books” into the search field in the upper-left corner of the page. Facebook will feature various pages and groups offering free Kindle books. Tips
- Don't enter a credit card number into the Kindle book offer window. It is possible that after a certain period of time, your card will be charged a subscription fee.
- Check the format of the e-book before you download it. There are a variety of e-book formats available and you will need to select the Kindle format for the book to be supported by the device.
- Do not subscribe to or subscribe to free Kindle offers from sites other than Amazon. These sites can misuse your email address and send spam in the form of “interesting” offers.
