This wikiHow teaches you how to block certain websites from being accessed via Google Chrome on your computer, phone, or tablet. If you're using a computer or Android device, you can use a free app called Block Site to block unwanted sites. Block Site is a free Chrome add-on that allows you to block a specific web page or an entire website. You can even set a password so other users can't change the block list.

Block Site is now installed on the computer.

The extension's basic features, including the ability to block websites, are free to use. If you are asked to subscribe to this service, click “ Skip ” in the upper right corner of the screen.

Click the "Enter a web address" field at the top of the page, then enter the address of the site you need to block.

  • For example, if you want to block all content or pages from the Twitter.com domain, type in twitter.com.

Enter the password to lock the Block Site block list in the text field below the email address field.

This turquoise button appears at the bottom of the page.

This icon is displayed at the top right side of the screen. The site will be added to the Block Sites app's block list so the site can't be visited in Chrome, as well as other browsers on the device.
