Method 1 of 2: Changing Country
Step 1. Open YouTube Music on the device
This app is marked by a red circle icon with a white triangle inside. Usually, you can find it on your device's home screen or app drawer.
YouTube Music is not yet available in all countries. If these apps or services are not yet available, you cannot download them from the Play Store. Fortunately, this service is already available in Indonesia
Step 2. Touch the profile photo
Photos are shown in small circles in the upper right corner of the application window.
Step 3. Touch Settings
It's in the middle of the menu.
Step 4. Touch Privacy & location
This option is at the end of the menu.
Step 5. Touch Manage account privacy
It's in the middle of the menu.
Step 6. Touch < Settings
It's in the top-left corner of the page (in the white area, below the red bar). You will be taken to general YouTube settings afterwards.
Step 7. Touch Location
It's at the top of the menu.
Step 8. Select a country from the drop-down menu
- Selecting a different country will not change the interface language of YouTube or YouTube Music. However, this selection will only update the videos you can watch (as well as recommended content types/types).
- This setting update will also change the country on the regular YouTube app and profiles on YouTube.com.
Step 9. Touch the back button until you arrive at the main YouTube Music page
Now, your country options are updated.
Method 2 of 2: Enable or Disable Location Based Recommendations
Step 1. Open YouTube Music on the device

Step 5. Slide the Pause location-based recommendations switch to on or off
- If you don't want YouTube Music to suggest content based on location, toggle the switch on or “On” (in green).
- If you want YouTube Music to recognize your location so that it can suggest music that is popular in the country/region you live in, toggle the switch to off or “Off” (grey).
