This wikiHow teaches you how to delete website visit history stored on both the desktop and mobile versions of the Google Chrome browser.

Method 1 of 2: Desktop Version
Step 1. Open Google Chrome
Step 2. Click the button in the upper right corner of the browser window
Step 3. Click More Tools
Step 4. Click Clear Browsing Data…
Step 5. Click the drop-down menu arrow (▾)
This arrow is next to the "Clear the following items from" option at the top of the dialog box.
Step 6. Select the beginning of time
This option ensures that all browser history is deleted, and not just recent browsing history.
Step 7. Check the box " Browsing history"
When you select it, a check mark will appear next to the " Browsing history " label.
Uncheck any selections you don't want to remove
Step 8. Click CLEAR BROWSING DATA
The browsing history for the selected content will be deleted.
Method 2 of 2: Mobile Device Version
Step 1. Open Google Chrome
Step 2. Touch the button in the upper right corner of the browser window
Step 3. Touch the History button
Step 4. Touch the Clear Browsing Data… option
It's in the top or bottom corner of the screen, depending on the device and version of Android you're running.
Step 5. Touch the “Browsing history” option
When you select it, a check mark will appear next to the " Browsing history " label.
- On Android devices, tap the drop-down arrow (▾) at the top of the screen and select “ beginning of time " With this option, all saved browsing history will be deleted, not just recent browsing history.
- Unmark any content that you don't want to be removed.
Step 6. Touch Clear Browsing Data
After that, the specified browsing history will be deleted.
- On Android devices, this button is labeled CLEAR DATA ”.
- On iPhone, you need to touch the button again “ Clear Browsing Data ” to confirm the deletion option.
