This wikiHow teaches you how to create your own Telegram channel on your Android device.
Step
Step 1. Open Telegram
This app is marked by a blue icon with a white paper airplane inside. Usually, you can find this icon on your home screen or app drawer.
Step 2. Touch
It's in the upper-left corner of the Telegram window.
Step 3. Touch New Channel
Step 4. Touch Create Channel
Step 5. Type the channel name in the “Channel name” field
Step 6. Type in the channel description
You can enter a few words about the purpose or topic of the channel. This step is optional.
Step 7. Touch the tick icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 8. Choose a privacy level
If you want people to be able to find your channel through search, select “ Public Channel If the channel is only accessible to people you invite, select “ Private Channel ”.
If you choose " Private Channel ”, the link will be displayed under the “Invite Link” section. Touch the URL to copy it to the clipboard. After that, you can paste it anywhere.
Step 9. Touch the tick icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 10. Select the contact you want to add to the channel
Touch the contact's name or number to add it to the invite list.
You can add the first 200 members to the channel. Once the channel has 200 members, existing members can invite other users
Step 11. Touch the tick icon
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. The channel is now active and selected members will be added to the channel. To access the channel, touch its name on the Telegram home screen.
Step 12. Share channel to other users
There are two ways to do this:
- To share a channel via the Telegram app, just type @namakanalanda into the chat or message window. Other users can touch the channel name to see the channel description and join (if allowed).
- To share channels outside of Telegram (e.g. social media or the internet), use the t.me/namakanalanda link.
