This wikiHow teaches you how to watch your favorite Disney+ Hotstar movies and shows (also known overseas as Disney Plus) via Google Chromecast. If you're using the Disney+ Hotstar app on your phone or tablet, simply tap the Chromecast icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select Chromecast. If you're watching shows via Google Chrome on your computer, look for the option “ Cast ” in the browser menu.

Method 1 of 2: Via Phone or Tablet
Step 1. Install the Disney+ Hotstar app on your Android, iPhone, or iPad device
If not, you need to download it from Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone/iPad).

Step 2. Connect your phone or tablet to a WiFi network
Your device must be connected to the same WiFi network that your Chromecast or Chromecast-featured television is using in order for you to broadcast Disney+ Hotstar content or shows.
Step 3. Open the Disney+ Hotstar app
This app is marked by a blue icon with the words " Disney+ " and " Hotstar " in it. You can find it in your device's app drawer (Android) or home screen (iPhone or iPad).
Touch " LOG IN ” at the bottom of the screen to sign in to your account first if you haven't already.
Step 4. Select a television show or movie
Once you find the show you want to watch, touch the show to display the information window.
Step 5. Touch the cast icon
This icon looks like a square with three curved lines in the upper-right corner of the screen. Your phone or tablet will scan for available Chromecasts afterwards.
Step 6. Touch Chromecast
You can watch television shows or movies on television now.
- If you don't see Chromecast in the list, make sure that your Chromecast-featured device is turned on and connected to the same WiFi network as the network your phone or tablet is using.
- Several Vizio television owners have reported "Disney+ is not available on this Chromecast device" error after trying to broadcast a show from Disney+ Hotstar to their television. However, Disney is developing an update to address the error.

Step 1. Connect the computer to a WiFi network
If your computer isn't already connected to the same WiFi network that your Chromecast or Chromecast-featured television is using, you'll need to connect to it first.
Step 2. Open Chrome
The Chrome web browser allows you to easily cast shows from Disney+ Hotstar (and other content) to your Chromecast. Usually, you can find this browser in the Windows “Start” menu or the “Applications” folder on Mac computers.

If you are not logged into your account, click the LOG IN ” in the top right corner of the page to access your Disney+ Hotstar account using the account username and password.

Step 4. Select a television show or movie
Once you've found the event you want, click on an impression to display its information page.
Step 5. Click the menu on Chrome
It's in the upper-right corner of the browser window.
Step 6. Click Cast on the menu
Chrome will scan for available Chromecasts and display them in a pop-up window.
Step 7. Click Chromecast
Impressions from Disney+ Hotstar will be mirrored or broadcast on television.
