This wikiHow teaches you how to adjust Netflix settings to show all your television shows and movies in 4K if available on iPhone and iPad. You must have subscribed to the Ultra HD Premium package on Netflix to be able to watch shows in 4K quality or resolution.

Step 1. Make sure the Netflix package you are using includes viewing content in 4K quality
The regular plan (Standard) includes HD quality shows, but you need the Ultra HD Premium plan to be able to watch shows in 4K quality.

Step 2. Open the Netflix app on your iPhone or iPad
The Netflix icon looks like a red “N” in a black square. You can find it on the home screen or in the application folder.
Step 3. Touch the More button at the bottom right corner of the screen
This button looks like a " ☰" in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. The menu will open afterwards.
Step 4. Touch App Settings on the menu
The Netflix app settings will open in a new page.
Step 5. Touch Cellular Data Usage or Mobile Data Usage.
You'll see this button under the "Video Playback" heading, at the top of the menu. The options will be presented in a new window.
Step 6. Select the highest quality option available
The available options may differ depending on the region/country and service provider used. You may need to touch
next to the “Automatic” option to change the settings.
- Touch " High " or " Maximum Data ” on this page to select the highest quality.
- Touch " OK ” if changes are not saved automatically.

Step 8. Touch Video Quality or Download Video Quality.
You can find this option in the "Downloads" section of the app's settings. The options will appear in a pop-up window.
Step 9. Select the highest video quality option available
Touch the highest quality option to set the Netflix stream rate to the highest video quality available for all television shows and movies.
- When the option is selected, all the videos you watch will load in the highest quality available.
- Touch " OK ” if changes are not saved automatically.
Step 10. Find and open a television show or movie in 4K quality
With the new settings, all videos will automatically load and display in 4K if that quality option is available.
