You can become a vampire in the Skyrim game when you fight against vampires or by siding with the Volkihar Clan in the Dawnguard add-on. When you become a vampire, you'll get the bonus of more magical abilities and more endurance, but this also lowers your stats during the day and increases your damage rate when attacked by fire. You can do several ways to cure it before the disease develops completely, for example by drinking potions or praying at the altar. To heal a fully developed vampire, you must do the "Rising At Dawn" mission given by Falion in Morthal.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Healing Immature Vampires
Step 1. Understand how vampire transmission works
You can become a vampire when you fight against vampires. You have 3 days (in-game) to heal him before turning into the perfect vampire. If you've been infected to become a perfect vampire, this treatment won't work and you'll have to go see Falion.
- There is a message in the lower corner informing you that you have been infected with a vampire (if any). After battling the vampires, you can use one of the basic medicines to stay safe.
- If messages begin to appear saying that you are thirsty for blood or your skin burns when exposed to light, this remedy is no longer working.
Step 2. Use potions to cure diseases
You can get them worldwide, buy them at alchemy/potion shops, or make your own. Silver hand and Vigilant of Stendarr usually also drop this potion if killed.
- The supplies in the store are a bit random and the healing potions for this disease are not always available.
- If you want to make it, there are several ingredients that have healing properties, such as Charred Skeever Hide, Hawk Feathers, Felsaad Tern Feathers DR, Mudcrab Chitin, and Vampire Dust.
Step 3. Pray in a holy place (shrine)
Any holy place can cure any disease. You can find them all over the world, and the most common are in temples in big cities.
Step 4. Ask the Vigilant of Stendarr to heal you
You can look for them all over the world, but you can always find them in the Hall of Vigilant, which is a remote building just south of Dawnstar.
Method 2 of 2: Healing the Perfected Vampire
Step 1. Talk to the innkeeper about the rumors until you get the "Rising at Dawn" mission
Every innkeeper in Skyrim could potentially assign a mission, but the answers given when asked about rumors would be a bit random. The mission will lead you to encounter Falion in Morthal, who studies vampires.
- If the innkeeper doesn't give you a mission, try a different city or rest for the night. When time passes, the innkeeper's answer will sometimes be reset (reset).
- This conversation will only happen if you have become a vampire.
- If you have become a stage 4 vampire (by going many days without eating), the townspeople (including the innkeeper) will attack when they see you. You'll need to eat or use blood potions to reduce the level of vampires in order to have a conversation with the innkeeper so you can get missions.
Step 2. Talk to Falion in Morthal
He will give information about the ritual that can cure vampires. He will also ask you to bring him a filled black soul gem. This is part of the next mission.
Morthal is in the northern part of Whiterun. Usually Falion stays in his house, which will be labeled according to his name on the map
Step 3. Get the black soul gem
These gems are used to trap human souls which will then be used as powerful enchantments, or in this case for rituals. Empty black soul gems can be purchased at Falion. You can also look for them in dungeons or get them in the form of items dropped by Necromancers.
Step 4. Fill in the black soul gem
Unlike other soul gems, black soul gems must be filled with human souls. Kill humans using weapons that have been bewitched with a Soul Trap or by casting a Soul Trap spell.
- You can buy tomes (large and heavy books) at various vendors, including the wizards in Windhelm and Whiterun or from one of the wizards at the College of Winterhold.
- You can also buy Soul Trap scrolls at vendors selling tomes. These are items that can be purchased and don't require you to master any particular magic.
- You can enchant a weapon with a Soul Trap if you've removed the magic on the weapon using the same property. Some of them can also be purchased or found around the world.
- If you can't do magic or don't want to buy a weapon, you can get a Mace of Molag Bal which is given as a reward for completing the "House of Horrors" mission. Talk to Tyranus in Markarth to start the mission.
Step 5. Bring the filled black soul gem to Falion
He will ask you to meet him at the summoning circle outside the city.
Step 6. Meet Falion outside the city
The summoning stone is to the north of the city. You have to meet him between 5 and 6 pm (in the game) because at that time he will start performing the rituals.
Falion will not start the ritual if you are not around. This means, you don't have to rush to go to the summoning stone if you don't want to
Step 7. Wait for the ritual to finish
Falion will perform the ritual, and after a brief conversation with him, you are no longer a vampire.
Tips
- You can repeat the mission given by Falion several times if you turn into a vampire again in the future.
- If you choose to become a Bosmer or an Argonian, your character will naturally be immune to disease and have a 50% less chance of turning into a vampire.
- To avoid getting infected when fighting against vampires, you can use disease-resistant potions, Resist Disease Restoration spells, or equipment that has been enchanted with disease resistance.
- You can also get rid of the vampire nature by becoming a werewolf. However, this condition has advantages and disadvantages. To start this mission, talk to the Companion in Whiterun.
- If Falion attacks because you've become the perfect vampire, use a calming spell to keep him from turning against you. This method can also be applied to the innkeeper.
- When you're in the final stages of becoming the perfect vampire, try to visit Falion's house at night so he doesn't attack you. He will sleep in his bed, and you can wake him up and talk to him. Do not let you prey on it.
Warning
- Even if you've recovered from a vampire, all the crimes you've committed when you were a vampire must still be held accountable.
- You will not be able to have a conversation with Falion if you have become a stage 4 vampire. You can lower this stage by eating or drinking a blood potion.
