Several studies have shown that people with a positive attitude and good habits recover faster. Stress, lack of sleep, lack of social contact, an unhealthy diet, or alcohol consumption can interfere with your body's healing process. However, there are ways that can help you heal faster mentally and physically.

Method 1 of 2: Mentally Healing Yourself
Step 1. Believe in your own healing
Faith is a very important aspect of being healed, and a positive outlook will improve your healing process both mentally and physically.
Step 2. Watch for signs of depression or anxiety
This usually arises due to external causes such as work problems, divorce, physical illness, or fights with other people. You can reduce suffering due to mental problems if you prepare well in advance.
Step 3. Deal with stress
If your stress triggers depression or anxiety, it's a good idea to take up a meditation practice or find other ways to channel your stress. Learning to deal with stress can improve your mental health honestly and deal with what's really going on in your life.

Step 4. Recognize depression through habits
If you have certain habits when you're in a bad situation, such as not having social contact for a few weeks, overeating, or hurting yourself, you may have formed a habit when you were depressed. Try to deal with your depression, anger, or anxiety in new ways to get rid of these habits and get more effective treatment.
Step 5. Don't self-medicate with alcohol or drugs
Chemicals can change the patterns of neural networks in your brain. If you have a drug or alcohol dependence problem, try joining an Alcoholics Anonymous group meeting or find a counselor who can help you.
Several studies have found that men experience a higher effect of increasing the hormone dopamine through alcohol consumption than women. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why alcoholism is more common in men. If alcohol makes you feel a little better, this is a sign of possible dependence
Step 6. Establish a social support network
Take time to get together with friends and family so you can share information about your life. Having communication with other people can improve your perspective and there is more support if you feel hurt and want to be healed.
Step 7. Take care of animals if you can care for them
If conditions don't allow, you can spot dogs and cats by visiting a pet or farm store. Hugging pets can increase levels of the hormone oxytocin or "cuddle hormone" which is released by the body when cuddling so that it can lower blood pressure.
Step 8. Try painting, writing, or crafting
Creative activities can help you deal with mental problems and physical stress you are experiencing. Johns Hopkins University has developed music and performing arts programs to create an uplifting and healing environment.
Method 2 of 2: Healing Yourself Physically
Step 1. Sit down and check your physical health every day
Take notes if you feel any pain or discomfort. After that, determine the level of fatigue you experience on a scale of 0 (not feeling tired) to 10 (paralyzed.)
- You may have been trained to ignore how you feel, but a scale above five will eventually lead to illness.
- Pay attention to your health record. Observe for patterns of fatigue, pain, or stress. See your doctor for advice about anything inconsistent.
Step 2. Prioritize stress management
Stress hormones will suppress the response of the immune system. First of all, you have to cancel the stressful activity and deal with your stress first.

Step 3. Set a healthy diet
Foods you enjoy may taste good, but they may decrease your ability to heal. At your next meal, make sure you eat 3/4 of your serving of colorful fruits and vegetables.
- Reduce consumption of sugar and refined carbohydrates. Many doctors believe that excessive consumption of sugar and carbohydrates can trigger inflammation.
- Whole grains, low-fat protein, fruits and vegetables are highly recommended in the diet to prevent inflammation.
Step 4. Exercise for 30 minutes every day
Try walking for 10 minutes after eating or making a schedule for 30 minutes of exercise every day to reduce the incidence of chronic disease and improve your immune system.
Step 5. Do a blood test
Blood tests are very useful for figuring out cholesterol, thyroid, diabetes, prostate antigen problems, etc., often even before your body starts showing symptoms of the disease. Not all tests have to be done every year, but they are the best way to prevent disease and treat problems before they get worse.
Step 6. Get seven to eight hours of sleep each night
Some of the processes that take place during your sleep are designed to heal you. Your body's cells can repair themselves while you sleep, so make sleep a priority for you.
