Step 1. Open the Minecraft launcher program

It's a green button at the bottom of the launcher program. After that, Minecraft will be opened.

Method 3 of 6: Modifying Minecraft Server Information on Minecraft: Java Edition

Step 7. Select NotePad or TextEdit in the "Open With" section
The file will open in a text-editing program such as NotePad or Text Edit (for Mac).

This line is in the lower half of the property list.

Warning
- When playing Minecraft offline, you cannot use customized skins and install the latest updates from Mojang, including updates that resolve crashes or errors. Consider this before you decide to play offline.
- Minecraft servers played in offline mode actually increase the risk of security threats because offline mode allows anyone to join and play on your server. To reduce this risk as much as possible, re-enable in-network mode after the offline play session is complete.
