Minecraft is a popular indie sandbox game that allows players to build, destroy, fight and adventure in a virtual world. Although the full version is sold for 99 thousand rupiah on the PlayStore, you can still play the game for free. However, if you don't want to pay, you have to play the demo version which comes with time restrictions and features unavailability to play online.
Step
Part 1 of 2: Downloading Games
Step 1. Visit the Minecraft site
net and download the launcher program.
In order to play it, you must first download the game. Minecraft works a little differently from how other games work: you can download Minecraft at any time for free, but you have to pay when you want to create an account in order to play the full version.
- To get the Minecraft launcher program (the application used to play the game), first visit Minecraft.net. On the right side of the page, you'll see three options: " Get Minecraft ", " Play the demo ", and " Already bought the game? Download it here ". Even if you haven't paid anything yet, choose the last option.
- On the next page, click the Minecraft.msi or Minecraft.exr file link if you are using a Windows computer. The file will be downloaded immediately. If you are using a Mac or Linux computer, click the " Show all platforms " link and select the appropriate option.
Step 2. Install the launcher program
Once it's finished downloading, run the file. The installation process will begin immediately. Just follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation process.
Installation usually goes smoothly for most users. However, if you're having trouble downloading or installing Minecraft, try visiting the official Minecraft help resources at help.mojang.com
Step 3. Open the launcher program
Once installed, the Minecraft launcher program will start immediately. Otherwise, you can open it via the program directory specified in the installation process.
Step 4. Register an account
When the launcher program is opened, you will be asked to enter your login information so that the program can confirm whether you have paid for the game. Since you don't have an account yet, click "Register". Without an account, you can't play the game at all-even the demo version.
Click the "Register" button to open a web browser window. You will be taken to the Mojang website to create an account. Follow the prompts that appear to register an account username and password. You will also be asked to enter a valid email address to receive a validation message as part of the registration process
Part 2 of 2: Play for Free
Step 1. Sign in using the new account information
Once your account is registered on the Mojang servers, you can enter the Minecraft launcher program. Upon logging in, the program will download several additional files which you can observe via the progress bar at the bottom of the window. This process is normal.
Keep in mind that you need an internet connection to log into your account so that your login information can be verified by Mojang's servers
Step 2. Run the demo
At the bottom of the launcher window, you can see a big button labeled "Play Demo". Click this button to run the game. The launcher program will close and a new game window will be opened. Click " Play Demo World " on the title page.
Step 3. Pay attention to the limitations of the demo version
Safe! Now you can play Minecraft for free! If this is your first time playing, read our Minecraft article to get to know the different aspects of the game. It is important for you to know that the demo version is not the full version of the game. This version is available so that users can see an overview of the full version. The biggest differences you can find between the two versions are:
- The demo version has a play time limit of 100 minutes. After the time limit is up, you can still visit the game world, but you can't destroy or place blocks.
- You cannot connect to the server using the demo version. However, you can still play this game with other players over a local area network (LAN).
Step 4. Alternatively, log in using a friend's account information
If a friend has a copy of Minecraft, one of the easiest ways to play the full version of Minecraft on a computer is to use their account information. However, only use his account after you have his permission (it's best if you use it while you're with him). Never use other people's accounts to distribute games illegally. Doing so risks getting your friend's account permanently banned.
Keep in mind that Minecraft's developer and user agreement states that "[Mojang grants] you permission to install the game on a personal computer and play it on that computer." While sharing your account login information will not lead to serious consequences (unless you intentionally hijack and share the game), breaching these agreements can result in your playing rights being revoked
Tips
- Don't get Minecraft from illegal sources like torrents as this is a violation of the law. Also, pirated versions of the game may have connectivity issues that prevent you from playing with other people.
- If you enjoy playing Minecraft, buy the full version. You can show support to the developers and help them to keep improving and developing the game.
