Apple has cracked down on the use of unauthorized cables and devices, and the latest versions of iOS will reject unauthorized cables so they can't charge iPhones. Apple does this to protect your iPhone from unauthorized cables that could damage or even pose a security risk. If you need to use an unofficial cable, you can try the power trick, or you can jailbreak it to circumvent the restrictions.

Using the Right Cable
Step 1. Use an MFi certified cable
MFi (Made For iDevices) cables are certified by Apple to work on your iOS devices. The MF-i cable will not cause your device to stop charging when you use it. The drawback is that you can get an MFi cable for a relatively expensive price like the original Apple cable.
Method 1 of 2: Turning Off iPhone
Step 1. Plug in the unofficial cable on your iPhone
You'll see the message "This cable or this accessory is not certified and may not work properly on your iPhone." Leave the cable connected to your iPhone.
Step 2. Press and hold the power button, then slide the power slider to turn off the iPhone
Make sure the cable is still connected to your iPhone. If you try to plug in the cable while the iPhone is off, your iPhone will restart automatically and display the message as written above.
Step 3. Wait while the iPhone is charging
In the off state, iPhone will not display a message asking you to check the cable, and your iPhone will charge normally. Leave it for an hour to two so you have enough power when you turn it back on.

Method 2 of 2: Jailbreak iPhone
Step 1. You can jailbreak your device if you don't use an MFi cable
The only way to avoid MF-i cable check on iOS 7 or 8 while your iPhone is on is to jailbreak and install a tweak that will eliminate cable checking.

- You won't be able to use cables other than MFi on a powered and unjailbroken iPhone. You will always get the message "This cable or this accessory is not certified and may not work properly on your iPhone.", and this will stop the charging process.
Step 2. Open the Cydia app
Once you've jailbroken your iPhone, open the Cydia package manager app to download a tweak that will allow you to use an unofficial cable.
Step 3. Press the "Sources" button
This will show you a list of the repositories you have.
Step 4. Look for "Support Unsupported Accessories 8"
You will see the results in the BigBoss repository.
Step 5. Download and install the tweak
Go to "Support Unsupported Accessories 8" on the tweaks page and press "Install" to install it on your device. This tweak is free.
Step 6. Reboot your device. After you install the tweak, reboot your iPhone so the changes can take effect on your iPhone.
Step 7. Plug in the cord
When you've successfully installed the tweak, you should be able to plug in the unofficial cable without the message like before. You may still get messages or warnings, but your iPhone will still charge.
