Pokémon is a franchise that started with a video game series. In each game, your character has to fight, capture, and evolve various creatures called Pokémon. All pokemon have different moves. One of these moves is Dive. Dive can be used when you have mastered Surf skills. Whenever you come across deep water, use Surf to approach it, then use Dive. In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, you can immediately get HM08 (Dive) from Steven, but the method is different in Pokémon Emerald.

Part 1 of 3: Spawning the Space Center Scene
Step 1. Visit Mossdeep City
Mossdeep City is on an island on the Eastern outskirts of Hoenn, near Shoal Cave, on Route 125.
Step 2. Defeat the game leader
Once you get to Mossdeep City, defeat the game leader first.
- The game's leaders, Tate and Liza, use psychic-type Pokémon, so make sure you prepare Pokémon that are strong against psychic-types.
- The best option for defeating these two game leaders is to use Absol. You can find Absol on Route 120, although your chances of finding it are only 7-10%. However, this Pokémon will learn the Bite move at level 28, which will be very effective against psychic-type Pokémon.
- Other Pokémon you can use are dark Pokémon, such as Mightyena; it can be found on the West line of Lilycove City.
- Once you defeat the game leader, you'll earn a medal, and this will trigger an event in the Space Center.
Part 2 of 3: Defeat Team Magma
Step 1. Visit Mossdeep Space Center
Team Magma has sent a letter to the Space Center, informing them that they will steal rocket fuel. When you get the Mind Badge from the Mossdeep Gym, Team Magma will attack the Space Center-you have to stop them.
Step 2. Defeat all Team Magma Grunts on the first floor
Step 3. Create a team with Steven Stone
On the second floor of the Space Center, you will find Steven Stone. Pair up with Steven to fight Maxie and Tabitha.
Maxie and Tabitha will use Mightyena, Crobat, and Camerupt
Part 3 of 3: Getting Dive
Step 1. Go to Steven's house
After defeating Team Magma and saving the Mossdeep Space Center, you must return to Mossdeep City and enter Steven's house.
Step 2. Speak to Steven
Steven will thank you for your help. As an expression of gratitude, he will give HM Dive.
