Step 1. Open the device settings menu (“Settings”)
Generally, this menu is indicated by a gear icon (⚙️), but sometimes it is displayed in a slider bar icon.
Step 2. Swipe the screen and touch Language & input
This option is in the " PERSONAL " menu section.
Step 3. Touch the currently active keyboard
Usually, the active/displayed keyboard is “ Android keyboard " or " Google keyboard ”.
Step 4. Touch the Text correction button
Generally, this button is in the middle of the menu.
Step 5. Slide the "Auto-correction" switch to the "Off" off position
After that, the button color will change to white.
- On some devices, this button may be replaced by a box that you need to uncheck.
- The auto-correction feature may be reactivated after you perform a device update. Therefore, you need to turn it off again once again.
Step 6. Press the “Home” button
Now, the text you entered will not be auto-corrected again when you type a message through the device.
