Ingredients
Instant Pudding
- 475-700 ml. cold liquid milk
- 96-144 grams of instant pudding flour
Homemade Vanilla Pudding
- 225 grams of powdered sugar
- 95 grams of cornstarch
- 95 grams of powdered milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 vanilla sticks
Homemade Chocolate Pudding
- 280 grams of sugar
- 125 grams of cornstarch
- 125 grams of powdered milk
- 25 grams of cocoa powder
- A pinch of salt
- Vanilla seeds from vanilla stick
Step
Method 1 of 3: Making Instant Pudding
Step 1. Pour the cold liquid milk into a large bowl
If you use instant pudding flour which is sold in small packages (about 96 grams), use 475 ml. milk. Meanwhile, if you use a large package (about 144 grams), use 700 ml. milk or follow the directions on the package.
Step 2. Tear off the edge of the instant pudding flour package and pour the contents into a bowl
Let the custard dissolve in the milk.
Step 3. Stir the milk and custard flour with a fork or whisk for 2 minutes or until the mixture thickens
If available, you can also use a hand mixer or food processor to speed up the process. Make sure the dough is well mixed and does not clump.
Step 4. Pour the pudding mixture into small serving bowls
Instant pudding flour in small packages will make about 4 pudding bowls. Meanwhile, instant pudding flour in large packages will produce about 6 pudding bowls.
Step 5. Chill the pudding in the refrigerator for 5 minutes or according to taste
Once the pudding has cooled, remove it from the refrigerator and serve immediately. If you like, you can also decorate the top of the pudding with whipped cream or strawberry slices.
Method 2 of 3: Making Homemade Vanilla Pudding
Step 1. In a bowl, combine powdered milk, cornstarch, sugar and salt
Knead the dry dough with a fork or a whisk. Don't be in a rush to add vanilla beans at this stage!
Step 2. Cut of the vanilla bean, slice lengthwise down the center of the stem, then use a knife to scrape the vanilla beans and mix them into the mixture
Do the same process for the other vanilla stick.
Step 3. Mix the vanilla beans into the dry mixture, mix well
If there are lumps of seeds, crush them with the back of a spoon. Voila, your pudding flour is ready to be processed!
Step 4. Cut the vanilla extract that has been seeded into 2 or 3 pieces
Place the vanilla stick pieces in an airtight glass container that will be used to store the custard flour.
Step 5. Put the custard flour into a glass container containing the vanilla stem pieces
Cover the container tightly and shake gently to make sure the mixture is evenly mixed. The taste and aroma of the vanilla stick slices absorbed into the custard powder will instantly enhance the flavor of your vanilla pudding!
Step 6. Store the custard powder in a cool and dry place
When you want to use, mix 96 grams of pudding flour and 475 ml. liquid milk. Cook the mixture in a saucepan over high heat, stirring constantly. Once it boils, lower the heat on the stove and continue to stir for 3-5 minutes. Once the mixture has thickened, pour it into a serving bowl and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Delicious vanilla pudding served warm or cold!
If there are lumps of vanilla beans mixed with your pudding, remove them with a fork once the pudding is done
Method 3 of 3: Making Homemade Chocolate Pudding
Step 1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl
Make sure you use a bowl large enough so that the dough doesn't spill when you mix it.
Step 2. Add vanilla bean from stick of vanilla for a more delicious pudding taste

Store the remaining vanilla sticks in a closed container; You can use it to taste a variety of other recipes

Tips
- To prevent a thin film from forming on the surface of the pudding, cover the surface of the pudding with a sheet of plastic wrap before placing it in the refrigerator. Remove the plastic wrap just before serving the pudding.
- Serve the chocolate pudding with whipped cream on top.
- Serve the vanilla custard with a sprinkling of powdered nutmeg or sliced strawberries.
