This chicken recipe is not really fried, but a delicious and quick “fried” chicken for dinner.
Ingredients
- Chicken, cut into pieces
- Flour
- Salt and pepper
- Vegetable oil

Step 2. Combine flour, salt and pepper in a ziplock bag
Step 3. Cut the chicken into pieces if necessary
Step 4. Dip the chicken pieces into the seasoned flour mixture
Step 5. Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan
Step 6. Fry the chicken until brown
Step 7. Transfer the browned chicken to a plate
Step 8. Drain the remaining fat

Step 10. Place the pan into the pressure cooker
Step 11. Put the chicken pieces in the pan
Step 12. Close the pressure
Step 13. Turn on the pressure regulator of the pan according to the instructions in the manual
Step 14. Set the pressure to 15 Psi (1.05 Kg/cm2)
Step 15. Lower the heat until the pressure regulator moves or is in the position indicating the correct pressure
Step 16. Preheat the toaster oven
Step 17. Line a baking sheet with aluminum sheet
Step 18. Spray with non-stick cooking spray
Step 19. Cook the chicken for 12 to 15 minutes in the pressure cooker

Step 20. Let the chicken cook naturally for 5 minutes
Step 21. Release the pressure if necessary
Step 22. Carefully open the pressure cap
Step 23. Transfer the chicken pieces to the prepared pan
Step 24. Bake until crispy in the preheated oven

Tips
- Immediately heat the chicken in the pressure cooker then lower the temperature to the lowest heat while still cooking.
- Different pressure cookers have different pressure control knobs or knobs. Read the manual to find out how to use the pressure cooker. The Fagor brand Presto has a knob that will fully stretch when under pressure.
- Cooking time will vary depending on the type of pressure cooker and the altitude you are at. Read the manual for more information. Warning
- Always be careful when opening the pressure cooker. The temperature of the food inside is very hot.
- Cool the food cooked in the pressure cooker before tasting it. The pressure cooker reaches its highest temperature when cooked.
- Never cook chicken in a pressure cooker with only oil. This is very dangerous and is not recommended. You can fry the chicken until brown in the pan, and then cook it in a pressure cooker using water.
