Eggs are one of the simplest and easiest ingredients to get. Eggs are usually cooked on the stove, and all simple egg recipes don't take long to make. But if you microwave eggs, you can make them much easier and faster. Just follow the simple steps below.

Method 1 of 4: Scrambled Eggs
Step 1. Prepare a mug or small bowl
Make sure the mug or bowl you use is heat resistant. The shape of your bowl will determine the shape of your eggs when they are cooked.
Step 2. Apply oil on the surface of the bowl
You can apply it with a tissue or a cooking brush. Or, you can use melted butter instead.
Step 3. Crack and put the eggs in a bowl
Be careful not to break the egg yolk.
Step 4. Pour 1/3 cup water
Just pour it directly over the eggs.
Step 5. Cover the bowl
Use a heat-resistant cover. This lid will prevent splashes that could contaminate your microwave.
Step 6. Cook the eggs
Place the bowl of eggs in the microwave and cook on the highest heat in your microwave for 35 seconds. When it's cooked, remove the lid from the bowl and check the eggs. Microwaves vary in type and power, so you'll need to adjust the cooking time according to the power of your microwave.
- This method will make the eggs quite cooked. If you want the eggs to be half cooked, lower the microwave to half for 60 seconds. Cook until the egg whites are cooked, but the yolks are still runny.
- If you want the eggs to be fully cooked, cook at maximum power for 60 seconds.
Step 7. Remove the bowl from the microwave
Open the lid of the bowl and pry the edges of the egg with a knife so you can lift it. Serve the eggs as desired.
Method 2 of 4: Scrambled Eggs
Step 1. Prepare a mug or bowl

Step 2. Grease the surface of the bowl with oil
You can use a paper towel or a cooking brush to apply oil to the surface of the bowl. You can replace the oil with melted butter.
Step 3. Crack the eggs and put them in a bowl
Be careful not to damage the yolk.
Step 4. Add a tablespoon of milk
You can use cream if you want a creamy feel to your beaten eggs.
Step 5. Beat the eggs with a fork
Mix the eggs with the milk until they are pale yellow in color and have a soft texture.
Step 6. Cover the bowl
Use a heat-resistant lid, or paper towels.
Step 7. Cook the eggs
Place the bowl in the microwave and cook for 45 seconds, then remove from the microwave.
Step 8. Stir and add salt and other additives
Open the lid of the bowl and stir the eggs until they are soft. Add a tablespoon of grated cheese, scallions, and any additional ingredients you like.
Step 9. Cook for another 30 seconds
Check if the eggs are cooked. If the eggs are not cooked, cook another 15 seconds.
Step 10. Remove from the microwave and serve the eggs
Use a fork to stir and remove it from the bowl.
Method 3 of 4: Omelette
Step 1. Prepare a wide, heat-resistant bowl
Ideally, use a bowl that is wide and has a flat surface, as the shape of the surface will determine the shape of your omelette. The wider the bottom of the bowl, the thinner your omelet will be.
Step 2. Grease the surface of the bowl with oil
Use a paper towel or cooking brush to grease the surface of the bowl with oil. You can also use melted butter instead of oil.
Step 3. Crack two eggs into a bowl and mix
Step 4. Add milk and other seasonings
Add two tablespoons of milk, a pinch of salt and pepper.
Step 5. Add vegetables and additional ingredients according to taste
You are free to enter any material as long as the material has been cut into small pieces. Here are the ingredients you can try:
- Grated cheese
- Onion
- Paprika
- Tomatoes
- Spinach
- Smoked meat, sausage, or meatballs (cook first)
Step 6. Cover the bowl
Use a heat-resistant lid or paper towels.
Step 7. Cook the eggs on high for 45 seconds
After 45 seconds, check to see if the omelette is done. If not, cook another 30 seconds, or until the omelette is done.
Step 8. Serve
Use a spatula to pry and lift the omelette from the bowl if necessary.
Method 4 of 4: Mini Quiche
Step 1. Prepare a heat-resistant mug or cup
Choose one that has a flat bottom and high sides.
Step 2. Grease the surface of the cup with oil
Use a paper towel or cooking brush to apply oil to the surface of the cup. You can use melted butter instead of oil.
Step 3. Coat the bottom of the cup with biscuit crumbs
This will be the crispy layer of your quiche. Crush the biscuits of your choice and put them in a cup.
Step 4. Mix the eggs and other ingredients
In a separate bowl, break two eggs. Also add a tablespoon of milk, a pinch of salt and pepper, and any other ingredients you like. Here are some materials you can choose from:
- Smoked meat, sausage, or meatballs (already cooked)
- Slice or grated cheese
- Sliced spinach
- Chopped Tomatoes
Step 5. Put the egg mixture in a cup
The eggs will cover the biscuit layer.
Step 6. Close the cup
Use a heat-resistant lid or paper towels.
Step 7. Cook the quiche
Cook in the microwave for three minutes. Check that your quiche is done.
Step 8. Serve and enjoy your quiche straight from the cup
Eat with a spoon and enjoy.
Tips
- Cooking eggs in the microwave is much easier than in a frying pan. This method also uses less oil so it is guaranteed to be healthier. This will certainly save you time especially in the morning when you want something quick.
- If you are cooking more than one egg, you will need to cook it longer.
- You can just sprinkle the seasoning directly on the eggs before cooking them in the microwave. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic, grated cheese, or whatever seasoning you like.
- You can also add thin slices of meat such as bacon or sausage as an extra. Just make sure the pieces are small enough.
