If you want to look beautiful, fresh, and adorable, you need to take time every day to take care of your appearance. First, create a cheerful and fresh look by wearing natural-looking makeup and styling your hair. After that, choose clothes that highlight your body shape and skin tone. Lastly, keep yourself clean by bathing regularly, brushing your teeth, and taking care of your nails.
Step
Part 1 of 4: Wearing Makeup
Step 1. Prepare your face before putting on makeup
First, use a mild facial cleanser to clean your face. Choose products labeled as “gentle”, “pH-balanced”, or “fragrance-free” because these products will not damage or dry out skin. After that, use an oil-free lotion to moisturize your skin.
- If necessary, use tweezers to shape your eyebrows before putting on makeup.
- If you have problems with acne, use a non-greasy anti-acne cleanser to clean your face.
Step 2. Create a fresh look for the day
Wear light makeup with natural colors. First, apply a tinted moisturizer to even out the skin tone. After that, highlight the parts of the face by applying a natural color blush on the cheeks. Apply mascara to the eyelashes, and use a lip gloss with a clear color to beautify the lips.
- Some people prefer to use BB creams instead of colored moisturizers. Compared to tinted moisturizers, BB creams can cover and cover blemishes or wrinkles better.
- If you have a lot of blemishes on your skin that need to be covered up, use foundation instead of a colored moisturizer.
Step 3. Use a darker shade of makeup for the evening
You can fix or “overwrite” your daytime makeup or clean your face first and reuse makeup from scratch. After using colored foundation or moisturizer, beautify the cheekbones with a natural color blush. After that, add a dramatic eye makeup and use a sharp color lipstick to complete the look. There are some examples of tips that you can follow:
- Beautify the eyes that have been used again by darkening the appearance of the folds of the eyes with dark brown or black eyes. Blend the color on the eyelids.
- Choose a bright red lipstick to highlight your lips.
- Use liquid eyeshadow, dark eye shadows, and mascara to create a cat eye look.
Part 2 of 4: Styling Hair
Step 1. Dry your hair using a hairdryer
First, separate your hair into sections using clips or hair tie. After that, dry each section separately and use a large comb to pull or stretch your hair away from your head.
If you're worried about damage to your hair from heat, apply a leave-in conditioner to protect your hair from the heat before you blow dry it
Step 2. Use a dry shampoo spray for oily hair
If you're not washing your hair or have hair that tends to be oily, you can use a dry shampoo to make your hair look fresher. First, shake the can of shampoo spray to mix the ingredients in the product. After that, hold and point the bottle a few inches from your scalp and spray the shampoo along your hairline. Separate your hair into large sections and re-spray the hair on the scalp.
- After using dry shampoo, massage the shampoo into your hair using your fingertips and then comb through your hair again.
- Dry shampoo is also available in powder form. However, dry powder shampoo is more difficult to use and can leave powder residue on your hair.
Step 3. Style your hair before going to school or work
Hairstyles for the day are usually more casual and relaxed than hairdos for the evening. Choose a style that suits your hair and makes you feel comfortable and adorable. For example, if you are feeling lazy to style your hair, use a hair tie to style your hair in a top knot style bun. Some examples of adorable hairstyles that you can try include:
- If you have short hair, apply pomade to the ends of your hair to add texture.
- Tie your hair into little knots to make cute little buns.
- Style your hair into an elegant side braid.
- Pull the hair back to create a tall and beautiful ponytail.
Step 4. Create the look for the evening
An evening hairstyle should add a dramatic effect to your overall look, whether you're just looking to hang out with friends or go on a date. If you have long hair, you can style it in a graceful style or comb it. For short hair, brush your hair outwards and spray on a hairspray to create a clean, silky look.
- Curl long (or medium) hair using curling irons, combs, and hair spray products.
- Straighten your hair with a straightener and a wide-toothed comb to create a graceful hairstyle.
- For short hair, you can curl it with a small curling iron to create small curls.
Part 3 of 4: Wearing Alluring Outfits
Step 1. Define your “color”
Everyone has colors to suit themselves. Look for colors that look right on you by knowing your basic skin tone. First, notice the visible veins on the inside of your wrist. If your veins appear blue, you have a "cool" skin tone. Meanwhile, if your veins appear greenish, you have a "warm" skin tone.
- Cool skin tones go well with silver, blue, dark green, gray, and winter tones.
- Warm skin tones go well with outfits in gold, dramatic greens, reds, and other earth tones.
Step 2. Wear clothes according to your body shape
Try wearing clothes that accentuate your body shape. For example, if you have a pear type body shape, wear a shirt that accentuates your upper body with a pattern or tassel. A shirt like this will balance the look of your body shape and accentuate your curves more.
- If you have an hourglass body shape, wear clothes that accentuate your slender hips.
- If you have an “inverted triangle type” body shape, wear clothes that add volume to your hips. We could try wearing a layered shirt or a big belt.
- If you have a "rectangular" or elongated body shape, wear short skirts and dresses that accentuate the charm of your legs.
Step 3. Wear clothes that make you feel beautiful
If you feel comfortable and charming in the clothes you wear, you will feel and look more confident. For example, if you like the look of a certain skirt, try wearing that skirt often. Alternatively, if you have a pair of pants that makes you feel weird wearing them, don't wear them. You will look uncomfortable, just like when you feel uncomfortable wearing it.
Wear clothes that make you feel uncomfortable. This discomfort will become more pronounced over time
Step 4. Wear adorable accessories
Accessories can make old and worn clothes look fresh and new. Accessories are embellishments or aspects of appearance that are not your clothes, such as jewelry, scarves, handbags, and belts. When planning your appearance, choose accessories that can accentuate your outfit. As an example:
- For a green dress, add a touch of gold by wearing a large gold bracelet.
- Pair a large red necklace with a black and white shirt for a dramatic color contrast.
- Beautify the appearance of a simple shift dress by wearing several large rings.
Part 4 of 4: Keeping Clean
Step 1. Take a shower every day
Shower daily using mild soap, warm water, and a washcloth or loofah. If you have very short, very oily, or sweaty hair, you should wash your hair every day. Otherwise, wash your hair two or three times a week to keep your hair healthy.
- If you wash your hair too often, the layer of oil that is useful for keeping hair shiny and soft will be lifted.
- If you have long hair, use conditioner after shampooing to keep the ends of your hair moist.
Step 2. Use deodorant
There is no specific age limit for using deodorant. However, if you're worried about body odor and want to look fresh (with a nice scent), try using deodorant after you shower. Read the instructions for use on the back of the package to find out how to use it.
You can buy a stick deodorant to apply to your underarms or a spray deodorant
Step 3. Brush your teeth
You should brush your teeth at least twice a day to keep your teeth healthy and your breath fresh. Use a clean toothbrush and toothpaste with fluoride when brushing your teeth. Also, clean between your teeth with dental floss to prevent gum problems.
- Avoid foods that contain sugar to prevent cavities from forming in your teeth.
- If you are worried about the condition of your teeth, try visiting a dentist.
Step 4. Keep your nails clean
One of the steps that must be followed to have a fresh appearance is to have clean and neat nails. Wash your hands after going to the bathroom, handling dirty objects, or wiping pets. Use a small nail brush and soap to remove dirt from under the nails. Alternatively, use a toothpick or small wooden stick to remove dirt from under the nail.
- Make sure your nails are kept short and neat so they don't rip your clothes or hurt your body.
- Paint your nails to add color to your look. In addition to beautifying nails, nail polish can also hide stubborn stains that stick to the nails.
Tips
If you feel uncomfortable with how your body looks, find a healthy way to deal with it. For example, try eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly to boost your confidence
Warning
- Don't bite your nails. This is a bad habit that actually makes your nails look dirty.
- Don't wear too much jewelry. If you're not sure how much jewelry to wear, it's a good idea to wear just one or two pieces of jewelry.
