You may want to bleach your skin if you have dark patches or discolored areas of your skin. Hydrogen peroxide is a natural whitening agent that is generally safe to use on the skin for short periods of time. If you want to brighten your entire face, make a face mask that you can use once a week. If you have dark spots or scars, apply hydrogen peroxide directly to the stain or area you want to disguise. If you have dark areas of skin on your body, make a paste of mild soap and hydrogen peroxide, then apply the paste to your skin.

Method 1 of 3: Making Face Mask Cream
Step 1. Place flour, milk and 3% hydrogen peroxide in a plastic bowl
Measure out 20 grams of flour, 15 ml of milk and 30 ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide (can be purchased from a pharmacy). After measuring, put each ingredient in a plastic container.
- As much as possible use accurate measurements. Hydrogen peroxide is a strong bleaching agent and can irritate the skin if not balanced by milk and flour.
- Milk functions to hydrate the skin and remove dead skin cells so that a youthful and bright skin layer can be seen.
Step 2. Stir the ingredients together to form a paste using a plastic spoon or wooden spatula
Use a plastic spoon or a wooden spatula as they won't react with the hydrogen peroxide. Stir the ingredients carefully to mix them. Keep stirring all the ingredients until the paste has an even consistency.
- Do not use a metal spoon as hydrogen peroxide can trigger a chemical reaction.
- The pasta may look very thick, and this is not a problem. You will dilute it in the next step.
Step 3. Add enough water to make the paste runny enough to apply as a mask
Add a few drops of warm water to the pasta, then mix it with the other ingredients. Keep adding water gradually until the paste has the right consistency for a mask.
Make sure the paste is runny enough to spread easily on your face. However, don't let the paste be too runny that it won't spread or won't stick to your skin
Step 4. Spread the mask on your face using your hands or a brush
Use your fingertips to spread the mask over your skin for a quick and easy step. If you have a facial brush, use the brush to apply the mask to your face. Once the mask is on your face, wash your hands or brush with mild soap and warm water.
Be careful that the mask does not hit the hairline or eyebrows. Masks can whiten your hair! If you get hit by the mask, rinse your hair immediately
Step 5. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes or until it dries
Set a timer for 10 minutes and relax while the mask works. Use your fingertips to check if the mask is dry every few minutes. If the mask has dried before 10 minutes have passed, rinse your face.
- After drying, the mask can make the skin dry if you leave it on longer.
- If you feel the mask dries too quickly, add more water at the next treatment session. This way, the mask will stay moist for a longer period of time.
Warning:
If your skin is irritated or feels sore, rinse your face immediately.
Step 6. Rinse face with warm water
Sprinkle water on the surface of the mask to soften it first. After that, use your fingertips to lift the mask off your face. After removing the mask, re-wet your face with water to rinse thoroughly.
Do not rub your skin as this can cause irritation
Step 7. Pat a clean towel on your face to dry it
Gently place the towel on your face to remove any excess water. Make sure you don't rub the towel against your skin as this can irritate the skin.
If there is still a mask left on the face, the rest of the mask can whiten the towel. Make sure you rinse your face thoroughly
Step 8. Use this mask once a week to gradually lighten the skin
You may be able to see results after the first use. However, you may need to undergo weekly treatments for a month or more to get the desired results. Repeat the treatment every week until your skin looks brighter.
Stop treatment with hydrogen peroxide if skin becomes red or irritated
Method 2 of 3: Treating Spots and Discoloration on Facial Skin
Step 1. Moisten the earplug in 3% hydrogen peroxide
Use a concentrated 3% hydrogen peroxide which is usually available over-the-counter as a wound remedy. Pour hydrogen peroxide on an earplug that you can later rub into your skin.
Use a small earplug so you don't rub the hydrogen peroxide on the healthy skin

It's a good idea to test hydrogen peroxide on a small area of skin first before using it on a larger area of skin that needs to be treated. For example, you can dab a small amount of hydrogen peroxide on a small area of your jawline or a small area of skin that has discoloration. Leave it on for a maximum of 10 minutes to see if the hydrogen peroxide irritates the skin. If so, rinse your face immediately.
Step 2. Apply hydrogen peroxide to the discolored area
Press the earplug against the area of skin you want to lighten. Coat the area with hydrogen peroxide. Be careful that you cover only the areas of skin that really need to be treated, and not the surrounding healthy skin.
If hydrogen peroxide hits a part of the skin that doesn't change color, that part of the skin will also lighten. This makes your skin tone uneven
Step 3. Let the hydrogen peroxide sit on the skin for 10 minutes
Set a timer for 10 minutes and relax while the hydrogen peroxide works. The hydrogen peroxide layer may dry out when it adheres to the skin, which is not a problem.
If the skin feels sore or itchy, rinse your face immediately
Step 4. Rinse the skin with warm water until clean
Sprinkle warm water on your face to wet it. After that, use your fingers to apply the water directly on the skin that is smeared with hydrogen peroxide. Clean the area several times to remove all the hydrogen peroxide.
Do not leave hydrogen peroxide on the skin for too long, as it can burn or irritate the skin
Step 5. Dry your face by patting a clean towel
Use a clean towel so that the skin is not dirty and the pores are not clogged. Pat the towel over your face to absorb the remaining water. Do not rub the towel on your face as it can damage the skin.
Keep in mind that hydrogen peroxide can leave stains or white patches on towels if there is still some peroxide left on your face
Step 6. Repeat this treatment every week until you get the desired results
You may see results after one treatment, but it usually takes several applications to get the desired results. Use hydrogen peroxide once a week until dark spots or blemishes appear lighter/faded.
- Stop using hydrogen peroxide if the skin becomes red or feels itchy/sore.
- Do not use hydrogen peroxide more than once a week. Otherwise, the skin may be burned or irritated.
Method 3 of 3: Lighten Dark Skin
Step 1. Grate 2 tablespoons (30 grams) of mild bar soap into a plastic container
Choose a mild, unscented bar soap for making skin lightening ingredients. Rub the soap on the grater until you get about 2 tablespoons (30 grams) of soap. Alternatively, use a knife to cut the soap. After that, put the soap in a plastic container.
Smaller pieces or graters containing soap are easier to stir and mix with hydrogen peroxide
Tip:
This method is suitable for lightening dark skin areas on the body, such as knees, elbows, or armpits.
Step 2. Add 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of 3% hydrogen peroxide concentrate to the container
Measure the hydrogen peroxide using a measuring spoon. After that, pour the peroxide into a plastic container filled with soap. It doesn't matter if the foam starts to form.
You can also use a 1/8 cup to get the appropriate amount of hydrogen peroxide. 1/8 cup is equivalent to 2 tablespoons or 30 ml of peroxide
Step 3. Use a plastic spoon or wooden spatula to make a paste
Stir the soap and peroxide with a plastic or wooden spoon. Keep stirring the two ingredients until they form a paste.
There is a chance that foam will form as you stir the ingredients. However, this is not a problem
Warning:
Do not use a metal spoon to mix soap and hydrogen peroxide because the metal can react with the hydrogen peroxide.
Step 4. Apply the paste on the dark skin using a spoon or spatula
Take a small amount of the paste using a plastic spoon or wooden spatula. After that, spread the paste on the dark skin. Just apply a thin paste evenly on the part of the skin you want to treat.
- For example, you can spread the paste on dark knees or underarms.
- Make sure you don't apply the paste to areas of your skin that don't need to be lightened. The paste will lighten the part of the skin that has been coated.
Step 5. Let the pasta sit for 10 minutes
Set a timer for 10 minutes and relax while the pasta works. Try to stay still so your skin doesn't move or wrinkle as the paste works. Thus, hydrogen peroxide can work effectively.
Do not leave the paste on the skin for more than 10 minutes as it can burn the skin
Warning:
If the skin begins to sting or itch, rinse the skin immediately. If you want to reuse the paste, set a shorter time limit so the skin doesn't get irritated.
Step 6. Rinse the skin with warm water
Sprinkle warm water over the pasta layer to smooth it out. After that, rinse the skin with more water to remove any remaining paste. Use your fingers to lift the paste from the skin.
Try not to rub the skin as this can trigger irritation. As much as possible clean and rinse the skin carefully as you remove the paste
Step 7. Carry out this treatment a maximum of once a week until the skin looks brighter
You can see results after one treatment, but the results may not be significant. Repeat the treatment once a week until you are satisfied or happy with the appearance of the skin.
- If skin is irritated, stop using hydrogen peroxide immediately.
- Usually, you can see significant results after 1-2 months.
