Waze is a social navigation app and location sharing plays a big role in this app. You can share your current location or point of interest with friends on Waze or anyone on your contact list. You can also send an estimated time of arrival to anyone in your contact list so the recipient knows how long it will take you to arrive at your destination. Recipients can also track your progress or journey through their own Waze app or the Waze website.

Method 1 of 2: Submitting Location
Step 1. Touch the Waze button
It's in the lower-left corner of the screen.
Step 2. Touch the map at the closest point of your location
After that, a dialog box will be opened.
Step 3. Touch "Send"
The “Send” menu will be opened after that.
Step 4. Select the contact you want to send the location to
The Waze contact list will load, including any other contacts stored on the device. If the contact you want to send the location to has Waze installed on their device, they will receive a notification from Waze. If the contact doesn't have the app, he or she will receive an invitation to install the app along with the address of your current location.
Step 5. Touch the "Send" button
Select the button if the selected contact is in the Waze contact list. Otherwise, you can tap the " More " button and send the location through another service in a different format. A message containing your location will be generated, including a link to go to that location on the Waze website.
Method 2 of 2: Submitting Estimated Time of Arrival
Step 1. Start navigation from a certain point
In order to send an estimated time of arrival (ETA or Estimated Time of Arrival) to someone, you must be on your way to a specific location. When sending time information, recipients can see the timestamp until you arrive, as well as track your journey through its own Waze app.
Step 2. Touch the Waze button or the magnifying glass in the lower left corner of the map
The Waze menu will open after that.
Step 3. Touch "Send ETA"
The Waze contact list, followed by the contacts stored on the device will open. This option is right in the middle of the mainline buttons on the dialog box.
Step 4. Select the contact you want to send the time information to
Friends you're connected to on Waze are displayed first and are indicated by the Waze symbol on the left side of the checkbox. You can still select contacts who don't have Waze and send invitations to use Waze. When the notification is opened, the recipient can see the estimated time of arrival and progress of your trip. If you select a contact who doesn't have Waze, the recipient will receive a text message inviting them to use Waze, including a link to view your progress through the Waze website.
Step 5. Touch the "Send" button when ready to send the estimated time
If the friend to whom you want to send the time information is not displayed on the list, or you would like to send the information via other means, tap the " More " button on the friends list and send the information via other sharing features available on the device (e.g. text message, email, and such).
