If you've been trying to treat your acne problem with all kinds of skin care products available but to no avail, try home remedies for it. Maybe at home you have some idle banana peels or can buy some bananas. Use banana peel to treat your acne skin problem. Banana peel contains lutein, an antioxidant and carotenoid vitamin related to vitamin A. Therefore, it can help reduce inflammation. Although it has not been clinically proven to help treat acne problems, you can try using this banana peel to prove it for yourself.
Step
Method 1 of 2: Treating Acne Problems with Banana Peel
Step 1. Wash your face
Before using banana peels, make sure your skin is clean of dirt and oil. Use a mild facial cleanser to clean the acne area and then rinse with cool water. Dry with a clean soft towel.
Do not rub the skin harshly. This will inflame the skin and make acne worse
Step 2. Choose bananas well
It's best to use a ripe banana. Bananas like this are yellow with black dots. Avoid using bananas that are unripe (light yellow with green edges) or overripe (oily and black in color).
Using a ripe banana also makes it easier for you to apply it to the acne-prone area
Step 3. Prepare the banana peel
Remove the banana from the skin. You won't be using this section to treat acne-prone skin so you can eat it or save it for other skin problems. Cut the banana peel so you can hold it easier.
Banana peel contains vitamins A, B, C, E and potassium, zinc (zinc), iron, and manganese. These nutrients can soothe inflamed skin and reduce the number of pimples that appear
Step 4. Rub the banana peel onto the skin
Use the white inside of the banana peel. Take a piece of banana peel and rub it or massage it into the skin gently for about 10 minutes.
Check to see if the inside of the banana peel is still white every few minutes. When it turns black, replace it with another piece of skin and continue massaging the skin with it
Step 5. Let the skin rest for a while
Don't wash your face right away when you're done massaging it with banana peels. If possible, wash your face with cool water before you go to bed at night. This allows your skin to absorb the nutrients from the banana peel.
If you can't wait until bedtime to wash your face, try rubbing this peel on your face before you go to bed. In the morning, rinse your face with clean water
Step 6. Do facial skin care with this banana peel regularly
You only need to rub a banana peel on your face once a day, but you have to do it regularly for several days in a row. After a few days, you may notice how the pimple starts to disappear or looks less red.
If your skin is very irritated after using banana peels, stop and give your skin some time to rest. You can try seeing a dermatologist if your acne gets worse
Method 2 of 2: Using Bananas for Skin Care
Step 1. To treat wrinkles or cracked heels
If you have wrinkled skin you want to work on or your heels are very dry and cracked, use a banana. Apply the mashed banana to your wrinkled skin or heels and let it absorb. Bananas will moisturize the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Vitamin E in bananas specifically can make wrinkles on the skin look reduced
Step 2. Make an exfoliating scrub
Mash one ripe banana in a bowl until it is almost a liquid consistency. Stir in 1 tablespoon sugar or 2-3 tablespoons oats (haver). This herb is easy to apply to the skin and can shed dead skin cells. Rinse off this scrub with warm water and then apply moisturizer on the skin.
Gently exfoliate the skin. Do not rub the skin harshly because it can damage the skin. Instead, use your fingertips carefully and massage the scrub in circular motions
Step 3. Use a moisturizing face mask
To make a quick moisturizing face mask, take one ripe banana and mash it with a fork until smooth. Apply it on your face and leave it on for 15 or 20 minutes. If you want to make a face mask even more useful, try mixing one of the ingredients below into it:
- Turmeric powder: antibacterial properties that can fight infection
- Baking powder: can open pores and get rid of excess oil
- Lemon juice: can brighten and tighten the skin
- Honey: can kill acne-causing bacteria
Step 4. Use banana on hair
Don't forget that bananas are also great for dealing with hair problems. Mash a banana or two and mix in a tablespoon of honey or a few drops of almond oil. Apply to wet hair and let it absorb for 15 minutes. Then, rinse with water.
